Yes indeed. Getting approval from the league takes time and in a way I am helping to educate them on the merits of allowing a high-stakes game. We'll definitely get this done and host an online draft at $600 per team and crown an overall champion, but obviously the longer I have to wait the less time I'll be allowed to promote this. Still, I think we have enough interest among our NFBC and NFFC members for several leagues and with a small push from NBA.com we can get this done.
Hang tight, trust me I'm working on this every day.

I'm definitely interested...was looking for a good high stakes league or contest. Any other good hoops contest recommendations?

i sure hope that this league won't use the dreaded ft, shooting, or 3 %'s as a category. i think those are truly the worst fantasy cat's in any sport.
you get a few specialist players whose values are more than legit nba fantasy players.

you get a few specialist players whose values are more than legit nba fantasy players. All rules to come soon, but we ran two leagues last year with my rules and it was a very good contest. Both teams were tightly contested and it went well. Player eligibility will be much better this year as we will be using STATS Inc. Here's a peak on what you're asking about:
3. Roster Requirements: Maximum of 16 players at all times.
4. Starting Lineup Requirements:
Starting lineups will consist of:
4 Guards
4 Forwards
2 Centers
2 Flex Spots
5. Scoring: The National Fantasy Basketball Championship will use an 8-category Rotisserie scoring setup. Cumulative totals will be used for the following categories:
Points
Rebounds (total)
Blocks
Steals
Three Pointers Made
Assists
Field Goal Percentage
Free Throw Percentage

How many teams (owners) per league? Last year it was 12 owners per league -- I'd imagine it would be the same.
