with your logic that the earlier you draft, the better your chances are to succeed would show that teams who drafted from the number one position would have a huge advantage... i know priest holmes has gone crazy last few weeks, but how many teams who drafted in the number one position are doing well?
i know i drew the number one position and was NOT happy about it. my team is doing well, but it is due more to my second and third round picks doing well as i passed on priest holmes and took tomlinson...
i think each season that the results are analyzed will produce different results. i think the biggest positive with owners being able to control where they draft from is the "perceived" control over your results and your better chance to apply your strategy to your drafting. and this could garner more entries.

If all draft slots gave owners an equal chance of doing well, on the average, there should be either 3 or 4 teams that drafted #1 in the top 50. The actual number after week 8 is EIGHT teams, or double an "equal" distribution. thanks for asking.
