Can MDC handle that is the question?

And P.S Jeff.... I WAS in class, and not on the crapper! I don't know how MDC could change the draft order four times during the draft. If you go that route, you may have to make picks in a Chat Room or something else. Just keep me in the loop and we'll figure it out together.
I have suggested here already that we could do this whole thing via e-mail. We could pretty much run it how ever everyone agrees on, and then get the results to STATS before the season starts.

I imagine that would work, yes?
Like this. Do the draft via email. I'm ok with any rules you Lawyers come up with. :D

If we can PM all are email address to one guy and that guy can send out a League wide email were good to go.

I have thought about that to. I think resetting the draft order every month is a good idea

Why not just make it an auction?

I will offer to drop my team and act as auctioneer in a chat room.

Concept:

1) All owners online at the same time.
2) A player gets nominated.
3) Each owner who wants to bid sends me their TOP bid for the player in question via email. (I will set up a private email for these drafts only)

Each team gets one (1) bid so they better make them good. Strategy at play and knowing values a must.

4) Top bid wins for one dollar over the next highest bid.

Example: Fitzgerald is the first player nominated.

a) Team 1 bids 36
b) Team 2 bids 38
c) Team 12 bids 45

Team 12 is awarded Fitz for $39

5) Next player gets nominated.

I chart the teams and money spent.

This evens out the playing field.

Al players, including rookies are draftable.

Strategy - do you save cash in February or go for it knowing an injury can happen?

Draft Order - not an issue any more. KDS once and players nominating contiues from where it left off.

Each 4-7 rounds should not take that long.

Just a thought.

Rob....I'm Okay with this idea..it sounds fun but I don't want you to miss out on playing. I always like going H2H against the champ.

Tied bids:

a) First team to email gets the player?

b) We add the hook to minimze the chances? (50 cents)

c) Those teams go "live" on the MB and take it as high as it needs to go.

d) The auction could be live on the mb FCFS?

Route, you just know that I am dead money! I would have just as much fun making it happen as playing and this way another diehard can play.

Rob, as an avid auction player, I would ask, "what would prevent me from being player "C" in this situation, and just bidding $90 for Fitzgerald? I'd still only have to pay $39. I just thought I'd throw that up there. Sorry if I'm throwing a monkey wrench into the system.

Marc,

What if team J did the same thing and bid 80? Then you would get stuck with him for 81.

You would only get one bid and would have to make it realistic to keep the other teams honest.

You would have to know what the players value was for every player.

You could just a easily bid live in a MB instead of my suggestion with ties going to the first one to enter the amount.

I thought an auction would settle some of the issues raised and thought this idea would test the group even more than a standard auction.

Rob, I'm not in this, but auctions are the best ways to settle everything when it comes to fantasy sports. There's nothing like it. You guys have fun. I'm sure it will work out fine. It's a great idea.

Marc,

You should take my team if they do the auction.

Rob, someone else already asked if I would take their team if it goes to auction...I declined. I know it sounds crazy, but I need a break from fantasy football. Not a long one. But at least until May...Then I'll be back in fantasy mode. I'll talk about it all year long, but I want to wait until summer time to start putting my money where my mouth is.
