Agree 100% about the projected values being useless Jim. When you get this many good players together, the values kind of take on a life of their own (especially the WR's).
I too like Matt B's Portis pick. I would have GLADLY taken him over Gore for $19 cheaper, and put that money into one of those overpriced WR's.
But hindsight is ALWAYS 20/20.

Yeah, Billy you're right about that hindsight thing. You always think "what if I had bid 1$ more", but you never really know if someone wouldn't go higher. I sure could use one stud WR to feel better about my team. It sure was a lot of fun to be doing an auction in May though.

BW, I don't see a WR1 on your team at this point. Maybe Calvin Johnson steps it up?! ...was thinking the same thing here...SNAKE
Well, it is hard to leave an auction without a weakness somewhere.
As I told Russ, I think this is a playoff team based on the other team's I saw drafted.
BW, like I said, without seeing all of the teams, it's really unfair for anyone to render guesses as to who makes the playoffs.
I like the rest of your team, I just think you need CJ to step up big time. I'm going to let Marvin go by me several times tomorrow night.
All is fair as I'll post my Champions League team for all to see tomorrow night.
Marvin is DEFINITELY a wild card Russ, and I can't blame you one bit for passing on him tomorrow.
However for me today, I let all the other quality WR's go by, and took a $16 chance on a guy who two seasons ago was the best WR in NFFC scoring. In a standard draft, he would be tough to take, but again for $16, I think he is worth the risk.
Add that he is now getting into fistfights, and involved with firearms, and maybe he will be playing with a "chip" on his shoulder this year!
Who would have ever thought Marvin Harrison would be a "bad boy" ala T.O and Moss??

Well in a standard draft, I am betting he is a mid to late 4th rounder, which puts him in the company of other WR's who went for more $$ today.
Obviously if he doesn't play/retires, it was a waste.
Time will tell!

guys, based on what i see its not a representation of what an actual WCOFF or NFFC auction draft will be like. The moss of the world will go for 40's, Travis Henry for 7.00 no way, he was a 50 dollar player and even if he doesn't start then their starter will go in the 30's..

As everyone has said, this draft was very interesting. My projected values were pretty useless today. I didn't pay up early and got caught with too much money late. Not real pleased with my team - too many Falcons and Ravens, but I was trying to get "best available" toward the end of the draft. I least I have some depth. I like Matthew Bayley's team. He got great values at RB. I was trying to bid higher on Portis and hit the wrong key. He was a great buy at $35. Here's my team for what it is worth (minus the 2nd defense - please don't ask).
QB - Hbeck $11 and Garrard $10
RB - McGahee $37, Turner $31, Jacobs $27, Selvin $5, Benson $3
WR - Roddy White $18, K.Curtis $8, Reg.Brown $5, Porter $6, Mark Clayton $6, DJax $3
TE - Heap $11, Heath Miller $4
D - San Diego $7
K - Bironas $1
Good luck to all. I enjoyed it. a solid rb will not go for less then 45 50 bucks..
