Understood about the RB's. There absolutely were some good buys in the upper tier of RB's today. I just think that in this auction there were many people wanting stud WR's and mid tier RB's which pushed the top WR prices up more than some, including me, expected (with the exception of Moss). The average price of the top 10 WR's was $5.5 higher than the average of the top 10 from the NFFC Chicago auction last year. I was expecting about $2.5, so I laid off when I obviously shouldn't. I'm really kicking myself for letting Moss go so cheap.

I'm not happy with my draft at all here. I hate walking away and not seeing a complete lineup. If Lendale White stays out of trouble, and Chris Johnson doesn't steal his job altogether, I at least have one RB that is capable of a 1000+ yd season. And every WR AND TE AND FLEX I have CAN score a solid amount of points in any week. But IF/BUT/CAN can be really important words when it comes to these things. It's not a great looking team, but if my choices pan out, this team will score. *Although I totally understand UFFCS's analysis on my squad.

One thing I was disappointed with was the change in the auction software. I wasn't able to enter the draft room until it was time to draft. And when I entered, it was a completely different setup than it was last year. Up until this year, they had a place where you can go and try out a ficticious draft, so you can get the feeling of how the site works. That is gone.

*There were way too many double names in the system.

*I couldn't queue players. This should be a MUST in every online draft.

*I couldn't see anyone's dollar amounts, unless they made a bid on a player. Last year, I could sift though all teams at all times and see how much money they had left.

*The site didn't show bye weeks. It did last year.

**This part is completely my fault...I didn't preset all my rankings, according to my cheat-sheats. Trying to sift through players was lengthy. Some players were WAAAAY too far down in the sites database rankings.

If anyone else had problems like I did with certain parts of the site, it would explain some of the abnormalities in prices. Other than that, I feel every auction reflects economics. Each player is only worth what someone will pay for them. It's extremely hard to set an average price for any player when you don't know each league's owner's limit is for buying that player. Just my opinion.

Marc (Diesel),

It is much easier to analyze the results in hindsight. This, by no means, is an attempt to take potshots.

I'll hope for the same honest feedback from the board once I post my team from tonight's draft.

To me, that is the benefit of these early-season drafts, to get better for the events to come.

Example, if the 1st 15 players nominated are WRs, there is a good chance that they could get bid up based on supply and demand plus other factors.

If most use 60% of thier cap on WRs, then it can only be true that the relative value of the remaining positions will be lower.

Marc........I don't know why you had trouble pre-selecting players for bid. I thought the click and drag method was very easy to use.

I got frozen about 6-10 times and had to exit and re-enter the draft room. This was annoying but I didn't miss any players because getting back into the draft room only took a few seconds.

Hopefully this site will continue to improve...auction sats are a blast.

I echo your sentiments about getting into the draft room earlier. I don't get the last minute stuff. It would give us alot more "corrective time" if we knew we had problems a little earlier.

Overall...even with these few issues....I thought it was a good and relatively quick draft.

I'm still blown away by the RB prices. I have Earnest Graham and Ryan Grant valued about the same. Graham went for $19 and Grant went for $50. That's insane. I was pretty pumped to get Reggie Bush for $39 but that was nothing compared to what came later at the RB position.

Tom, I agree. I'm not sure of the exact reason, but I'm sure that some of the RB's in this draft will NOT sell for the same price in a live auction.

Even guys like Ladell Betts and Brian Leonard. They aren't $20 RB's, but they also aren't $1 RB's, which is what they sold for.

Russ, I welcome the criticism, and I totally understand your point. My RB's look weak. But since I bought the most expensive QB in the league and five receiving starters (3 WR's and 2 TE's), I knew I would be digging deep for a RB. In all fairness, my RB's could have been even worse. As crazy as it sounds, I'm lucky to have Lendale White/L.Betts as my starters.

If you average out what my starting team can score on any given Sunday, I still have a team that can score 120+, and I don't have a solid RB.

Only time will tell here. And it is MAY...lol
