12 Team Leagues - top 2 should be the only squads paid.

I like the idea of swinging more money toward the
Championship Round but there is a nice balanced feel to 1500/750 for league prizes.

I'm on board with RiFF......excellent suggestion!

wow, KJ DUKE, we are on the same page, scary! ;)

Riff's idea is great. Since there are more teams in general, the money should be spread around both in the individual leagues, and the playoff round.
Also, the league money should only go to the top 2 teams, end of story. We all joined with this in mind, and I feel that handing out anything to the third place team makes things unnecessarily complicated. That money should be saved for the overall championship winners. Sandman brings up a great point in that people who join the online championship want to win the grand prize.

- Ken Okay, let's see what our final numbers finish at, but yes it looks like this is the route I'm going to go. If we get to 720 teams, it adds $100 to first place in the league, $50 to second place in the league and $6,000 to the overall prizes. This is a nice, nice jump for everyone and we pay back 86% with the additional money just like we did previously. We aren't taking a higher percentage just because we added more teams. Everyone wins.

Thanks all for the suggestions. It's always good to get feedback from you folks because I honestly hadn't thought of this proposal. Good job Rich.

I believe fattening up the league prizes is the way to go. Anyone who makes the post season almost certainly already won money. Anyone who has a magical run from weeks 14-16 and wins the big prize is thrilled beyond belief regardless of whether 1st prize is $50,000 or $60,000.

Fatten up the league prizes in the one part of the event where everyone is competing equally and the sample is larger (full regular season as opposed to 3 game post season). Better league prizes impact more people over all than does fattening up the top prizes.

I agree with Renman. By adding 20 % additional new teams, your chances of winning it all just got reduced. Adding to league prizes gets my vote.
