Gotta love dead teams...

GG, I'd tell Team A (let's call him TamuScarecrow) that he ran into some tough matchups this year, but hopefully he was able to cash out and get in the playoffs through the total points setup. That's why I've tried to reward h2h and total points leaders. Yes, adding wild card teams will take care of one loophole and paying the total points champ more will take care of the other loophole. But the thrill of h2h MUST stay.

Yeah, unfortunately I think some high scoring teams will miss the playoffs this year. But no setup is perfect and next year it will be closer to perfect than this year.

Okay, we're closer to the same thoughts than I thought. That's good to see.

Now I must leave this thread and head out to Lambeau Field. My four-hour tailgate party awaits me. And don't ask me if Ahman Green is going to play or not because I honestly don't know. I hope so, but I bet we see a lot of Najeh Davenpoop tonight! Good luck everyone and GO PACK!!!

How crazy would it be to have each team play TWO other teams (not the same triangle) every week. Would it be that hard to say this week I'm playing against Team A and Team B? I know it doesn't SOLVE the inequities, but more variation and more opportunities levels out the flukes and oddities. I could score 140 and go 1-1 or 130 and go 2-0 or 160 and go 0-2, but the more matchups the less effect of outright luck.

I know, I know.. there will always be idiots who don't understand basic concepts and I'm tired of administering to the lowest common denominator.

Personally, I think you take league cash (let's say $7,000) and give $3,500 to best H2H and $3,500 to next best points. Screw 3rd place money (which I note is currently POINTS based, how curious it's not record...)

If you're not going to have a playoff between H2H record and points then you have to split money equally. $5k to what could be construed as the luckiest and $1500 to the best drafter/manager seems way out of whack to me.
