Any Interest In Fantasy Basketball?

Okay, I can't get a National Fantasy Basketball Championship site developed in time, obviously, and STATS doesn't have a commissioner product done yet for basketball. We'll continue to work on this with a plan for a 2005-06 season if possible.

Are there 12 people on these boards who would do a straight 10-category (or 8-category) serpentine draft with prize money going back to the top three finishers? I have a feeling I could find a reputable stat service to do this and it would almost be a test league for next year's event. Let's say $300 to $500 entry fee with an online live draft the week of Nov. 1st at night.

If there's interest from 12 guys, I'll try to set it up and you guys can figure out the prize money after the cost of a commissioner service is figured in. Fair enough?

Otherwise, NFFC partner fantasyjungle.com has a good basketball game with a $500 entry fee, I believe, and Sportsbuff.com has a good game with a $9.99 entry fee and then fees for transactions. Those are two you can check out right now.

I would also be interested at $500 or less.

We actually shelved our game due to lack of interest, but we have several guys that are still looking to play.

I have been in contact with some of the Leaderboard guys and I think a league of 10-12 is a realistic possibility if not 2 leagues, for $300 a person.

Anyone that is serious, just post on here or contact me and we can get one going I am sure.

From what I can see, there are at least 10 here who would do it. Mike, do you guys have a live online draft? I'm searching for one now. I think we'd be able to get 1 or 2 leagues going if we keep the talk going this next week.

Dyv will make a post in an hour or so detailing a potential fantasy basketball contest that I'll help to organize. If nothing else, it will be a good test run for 2005-06 and will keep a couple dozen of us together a little longer. Look for that post soon from Dyv.

Dyv, get on the ball! It's been almost two hours! ;)

Greg, you might want to reserve the proper URL before the competition makes you pay for it.
