Re: 1 SPOT LEFT In 2014 NFFC Kickoff Gridiron
Mark, when u say "leave it at 30 rounds", that was based on a 14 team league, ie, 420 picks. For a 12 team league, 420 picks is 35 rounds. Having 420 picks (like they do in all the 12 team DCs) is what I've prepped for and is consistent with all of the nffc's offerings
Re: 1 SPOT LEFT In 2014 NFFC Kickoff Gridiron
We had this debate last year, and some wanted longer and some shorter, so let's stay in the middle with 30 rounds.

Be gentle with JP, he's a Vegas football virgin!kjduke wrote:Alright, we have a full league!!! JP took a spot to get us to 12. The league payout will be $6000/$3000/$1000 for the top 3 spots, and all draft slot bidding money plus $500 per team will go into the weekly prize pool to be paid out in full over 16 weeks.

Good job all and welcome to Las Vegas John!! Our former Online Championship champion is heading out West with his buddy, Jack Haan, who could be a mentor or a bad influence!! We'll take care of him in the Bellagio Penthouse Suite, but after that he's on his own.
Like KJ said, we'll keep the header showing us as still needing another owner or two, but at least this is a go with 12 great owners. If we get to 14 in the next week, all the better. This should be fun in the Penthouse. Thanks all and we'll see ya in a week.
Here's the current lineup card for this league:

Re: 1 SPOT LEFT In 2014 NFFC Kickoff Gridiron
Last season the top half of bidders spent a combined $4,100 in bidding. Among those teams were the 1st place winner, the 3rd place winner, and 11 of the 16 weekly winners. Total prize money paid to these teams was $16,718.
The bottom half of bidders spent $1,580 in bidding. Among those teams were the 2nd place winner and the remaining 5 weekly winners. Total prize money to these teams was $5,463.
◄ For an extra $2,520 investment, the top bidding teams took home an additional $11,255 in winnings ►

Re: 1 SPOT LEFT In 2014 NFFC Kickoff Gridiron
Okay, we got a nice push here at the end to make this 3rd annual NFFC Kickoff Gridiron 14 teams, just like the rules state. That helps with the pot, too, with 14 teams. John Pausma and George Melbrod both jumped in to give us 13 teams. Now we're looking for 1 more team. Who wants to fill out this lineup card?
This will be 30 rounds, 420 players. Recruit everyone and we'll have a blast on Thursday afternoon. Great fun and we'll plan for the extra folks upstairs with co-managers. Should be fun.
Okay, who wants to join this group in a 14-team, 30 round DC where you bid for your draft spots with real money?

Re: SOLD OUT: 2014 14-Team NFFC Kickoff Gridiron
Nice work Greg filling those last two spots!
As a reminder as you plan your bidding approach ...
• You can win only one draft pick per round.
• Minimum bid is $10 and subsequent bids must be no less than $10 increases.
• When someone wins a draft slot, they will pick a player before we auction the next slot.
• Round 1 draft slots only apply to Round 1.
• For Round 2, the first winning bid will sit down at the 14 slot at the table and pick a player (and remain at that position for the remainder of the draft). Since 3RR is in effect, the first pick in Round 2 also gets the first pick in Round 3. The next winning bidder will sit down at slot 13 and gets the second pick in both Round 2 and 3, and so on. At the end of Round 2 bidding is over and we proceed on as with any other NFFC draft.
