Who's Coming To The 2010 NFFC In Las Vegas?

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Fri Jul 16, 2010 8:17 am

We filled up our fourth Classic main event league in Las Vegas earlier this week with a slew of signups that involved first-time NFFC players. In fact, four of our last five Classic signups for the Bellagio are new NFFC members who came to us via Fanball. We're here to give all of them a hearty welcome and wish them best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize. They include:

David O'Connor of Camano Island, Washington; Tim Alton of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Shane Portfolio of Atlanta, Georgia; and Kelly Allison of Capistrano Beach, California. All are joining the NFFC for the first time and all jumped right into the 14-team NFFC Classic!! Gotta love it. I'll see all of you guys at the Bellagio. I'll be the one with a Corona in my hands at all times!! :D

We're glad to welcome our newest member of the growing NFFC family to the Las Vegas main event doubleheader, where yours truly will be in charge of the drink tickets!! :D Let's give a hearty welcome to Bob Particelli of Berwyn, Pennsylvania as he's coming out to the Bellagio Las Vegas on Saturday, Sept. 4th and competing in the NFFC Classic and Primetime main events. Bob is even interested in the Diamond League if that expands beyond 12 teams. Bob joined the NFBC for the first time this spring and is having so much fun that he's going to cross over and do football with us, too. Welcome aboard Bob and best of luck in the hunt for the $150,000 in grand prizes and the $8,000 in league prizes.

Who's Coming To The 2010 NFFC In Las Vegas?

Just a heads up that we're making good progress on the Auction Championship and Draft Champions Championship in Las Vegas. We now have 20 signups for the Auction Championship at 4 pm at the Bellagio, leaving us EIGHT SPOTS short of a second full league at that time. It doesn't look like we'll have an 11:00 auction that day, but doing two at 4 pm would be solid.

We also have 21 owners for the 11 am Draft Champions Championship in Las Vegas. Now some of those owners have said they would do a $1300 DC if there was enough interest and we'll keep that open among the various cities, but right now we are seven spots shy of a second full DC in Las Vegas if everything stays as it is. So let's keep things moving in the right direction and have some fun out in Las Vegas. And we'll keep pushing for the 4 pm DC in LV and if we have to hook up with online drafters or another city we'll do it.

Thanks all and keep 'em coming. We almost have five full Classic leagues at the Bellagio and look forward to starting that sixth one soon. Thanks all.

It's good to see some old faces back with us in Las Vegas for the NFFC drafts as Lonny Graves and Jon Clift will be returning and spending both weekends out in Sin City. This type of trip would kill most people, but I have confidence in Lonny and Jon that they will survive!! :D Welcome back to the live drafts my friends.

Lonny and Jon are taking separate teams in the NFFC Classic and they will team up for one team in the NFFC Auction Championship and one team in the NFFC Draft Champions Championship. We now have 21 owners for the 11 am auction, leaving us with only 7 spots left, and 23 owners for the 4 pm Draft Champions league. That means we have only FIVE SPOTS LEFT for that one. Good job all and thanks for joining us again. See ya out there.

Look who's back in the NFFC: It's the Z-Man!! Robert Zarzycki of Hewitt, New Jersey just signed up for the NFFC Primetime in Las Vegas as he loves the 12-team format. He drafted both main events last year in New York, but it's good to see him heading back to Las Vegas and jumping in at least one main event...for now!! :D Welcome back Z-Man and it will be good to see you again. We missed you in Sin City last year. Good luck.

GA or TK,

I am wondering if it would be possible to have at this sign up lists the peoples name as well as their call sign on the Forum? I think there is a disconnect at the live events when we talk to the people and have no idea that we have been talking on the forums back and forth. Would to be possible without adding too much work to your already overloaded plates to have something like this? If this is not possible I think it would be a good idea for future years.

thanks,
Chris

Well, I liked the old auction playoff format a lot better, but it's hard to resist an auction ... put me down Tom.
