Nag- I'll revise to "Knowing there is the financial backing is what should be more important than one owner/commish former job."

And I'll dispute his former occupation should have been a worry on Daves laudry list of worries. Dave's list wasn't just "observations" it was more like a list of concerns. IMO anyway.

I didn't see Stan being a former Hockey coach as being a negative or even belonging on that list. In fact it shows Stan loves sports which is a plus for a commish.

Nag, you are a good spin artist and especially when protecting one of "yours" but he was wrong and I would question his integrity before Stan the Man if I was just reading this thread. You're welcome to your opinions of me and Dave. It's a free country.

Just like I can question anything I choose about anyone else who wants to get my money.

As much as there seems to be a rush to bash Dave by some here, the truth is, a person's background IS important and should play a part in forming ones opinions on the business. In this case, the contest.
The point is Nag, his points were narrow and selective, half-truths and wholly negative. That's fine if he is just a player giving his opinion, inappropriate as operator of a competing contest.
How do you suggest Dave announce that he is giving his opinions on FF related issues as a player and not as an operator, especially if they are negative in nature?

Don't take cheap shots at competitors. It's transparent and it doesn't help you. With all the BS you guys have posted on these boards over the years, people could take cheap shots at your contest all day long. ;)

Leroys list?
1) Not true. They don't create leagues until they have enough signups. Really unfair to post that

2) True on part but cancellation is just speculating..Dave makes that clear that's his opinion not a fact though.

3)Stans job? Why on this negative list?

4) Saying stuff about grapevine without saying from where or what it was? What the...pretty useless

5)Calling it a lottery. Lottery used in reference to FF is never flattering. BUT It's a fantasy football draft with many leagues. Like other national draft contests but with lower fee and many more entries. Maybe not worth playing to Dave and I understand if because time wise for him he wants higher fee games. But imo all national Draft contests that combine league winners into a playoff later have somewhat of a lottery feel (sorry I try not to say that too often but Dave brought up the word). Draft spots and quality of your league mates being large factors in how strong a team you can build towards winning against others teams from other leagues in a playoff.

6)Some growing pains certainly going on. They got a late start and the site is still being worked on. They are trying to correct things as they are pointed out.

Btw, we welcome all cheapshots at our contest.
