NFL 2008 "Pick'em Share Pool"

This is blackhand jr. my dad said i can write whatever i want as long as it is not bad. thanks for letting me play marc , i had fun. i hate those half points. i lost 6 games this year by that no good half point. see you next year.

1- GLY, thanks for updating the standings...

2-Frankie, you are a true sportsman. You know your football...But those half points are a given here. They prevent "pushes"...So you either win by a half, or lose by a half. As they say..."Dems the breaks"... Thanks for playing this year. I look forward to seeing how many people you beat next year.

This contest ends after week 17. Week 17's Monday night game is the last game that is part of this Pool. I beleive the site will go through to the superbowl( I may be wrong about that)...But even if it does, remember, prizes will be given out according to week 17's standings.

You far outplayed myself and a host of others in here.

Good luck with your J-E-T-S the rest of the way and maybe I will be able to meet up with you and your Dad again for another game next year.

frankie I second with Ken said. You out play some guys that do very well at picking games. At least You can tell Pops You are better than he is, and that goes for me as well. You did great.

WAIT!!! Just when you thought all prize monies were awarded and finalized, we STILL have week 17 of the NFL Share Pool.

Seventeen(17) people remain out of ninety-one(91) entrants this year. This is the last week of the pool. Prize money is there for the taking. Will people go bonsai and look to get the most amount of shares? Or will they "stand-pat" and see if what they have is enough to sit on?

Over $4,000 in prizes at stake today.

These 4PM games are HUGE for some teams. I believe there is no Monday night game, so today's games are all or nothing.

Congrats to Stormola on a fantastic season.

Kudos to Marc (Diesel) for running a 1st class contest, but who would have expected less? Great job, Marc.

Boooooooo to Renman for being too slow on the draw and costing himself second and too gutless to double up a couple times and chase down 1st. Primo (assume the same primo posting here) made a late bet. I was staring at the computer screen refreshing it because I knew right before kickoff he was likely going to bet. I saw the bet and realized to protect myself I had to bet too. Just as I was about to bet the over I got off the couch to put the pacifier back in the mouth of my screaming 4 month old. I had the game on and they were still doing warm ups. I went to make my bet and boom.. the system was locked!

I was miserable! I knew right there I was doomed...

None the less... I want to thank Marc for runnig a great pool and I look forward to next year.

Congrats to Stormla and Primo too...

I don't think there will be any NFL changes by this Thursday, that will effect the outcomes of the winners here, so I'll go ahead and announce the 5 Champs of the NFL Pick'em Share Pool.

1st Place-$3000 Robert Sabini
2nd Place-$1100 Richie Primo
3rd Place-$400 James Mack
4th Place-$120 Scott Stahlmann
5th Place-$55 Patrick Welsh Jr.

I hope to see everyone next season. I think there was a HUGE success rate here as nearly everyone liked every part of the contest. The invites for 2009 will start going out in June.(Remember, I close the signups mid-August because I play in a BUNCH of fantasy leagues, and I can't have signups collide with drafts...So try and sign up early this coming year!!!) Feel free to ask a friend to join. If everyone brings a friend in, we can easily hit 200. I'm thinking of a number higher than that, but we'll see how good I am at estimating. Thanks for playing, and mostly for keeping it fun. I had a great time...Hopefully you guys/girls did too.
