"Quahogs pics are always mighty fine...I say this faithfully in post 999."

I know this will sound crazy, but I actually have to go do something today :D , so I won't be able to watch the boards for awhile, but I'll be back this evening for post 1000. Thanks for the cool pic Q...

I don't recall saying that, but I would have chosen Driver over Chambers on draft day. However, I am pretty sure Scarecrow DID say that, so why not "call him out"?

We could go back to MANY of your asinine predictions this past year, but why don't we just "drop it", and let it go as a "dig" for you?

You just don't quit, do ya Snake?

Ward Learned by Fantasy Owner's Example:
Steelers' leading receiver did not always appreciate it but is now proud of one man's hard work and sacrifices.

By Jerry Crowe, Times Staff Writer

DETROIT — There was a time, years ago, when Hines Ward was embarrassed to even talk about the sport of Fantasy Football.

He just didn't understand, the sport was so … different.

Marc Quitsch A.K.A "Diesel", an avid Fantasy player and Ward literally did not speak the same language.

But the passing years and Diesel's undying devotion to Ward eventually forged such a bond that Ward, the Pittsburgh Steelers' leading receiver for six seasons, couldn't help but grow emotional when talking about him this week in advance of Sunday's Super Bowl.

"Marc Quitsch is the reason why I'm here today," he said. "All the values that he instilled in me by paying $42 in the NFFC Auction 2004, that's who Diesel is: a hard worker, nothing ever given to him, worked his tail off. I am here today because of him."

While departing this interview Hines Ward stated, "I'm proud to know that Diesel had the confidence in Me that I hadn't even known myself. And I'd like everyone to know that not only am I heading to the Superbowl, but Diesel is about to post his 1000th message on the NFFC messageboard. Thank you."

You can live up by me, Diesel. It's in Hammond, LA, about 45 miles NW of New Orleans and where EXXON is housing a bunch of their off-shore folks. Cost of living is excellent and it sits pretty much in between New Orleans and Baton Rouge.

I was a Saints season ticket holder for 4 years and was a proponent of keeping the Saints in Louisiana when the state was deciding on whether or not to pony up some extra money for Benson to stay. Now, they are the only thing left in New Orleans and the state is begging them to stay.

As for me buying the Saints, I've been having these dreams for quite a while, Johnny, about hitting the Powerball and buying the Saints from Benson. He's been lowballing the team for years and it's time for someone with a football mentality to take over. If I keep speaking it I believe one day it will come to pass. This dream sits right alongside the one where I'm running for president in 2008 because both political parties s**k. Faith is a many splendored thing but until then, I have the NFFC. :D

Rick,

What years were you a season ticket holder? The wife and wentdown to New Orleans the 3 previous years to this one, and had an absolte blast! GREAT food, great drinks, and Harrah's too (actually that could have worked out better! ;)

Went and saw the Saints play;

2002 -Pittsburgh (they whooped up on my Steelers that day as Deuce ran wild!)

2003- Atlanta (originally bought the tickets to see Vick in person, but that is the year he was injured. Deuce ran for a career high 174, and luckily the Saints won (Deuce fumbled on the goalline after rumbling 50 yards for the "apparent" winning TD. The best GAME I have ever seen live!

2004- Minnesota (Sunday nighter where Daunte ripped the Saints a new one, and Moss got hurt.)

We want to head back NEXT football season (2007), once the city is ALL back up and running. My mouth is watering thinking about some of those restaurants! What are your favorites in "Nawlins"?
