Add D/K to Flex?
Add me to the "I don't like this idea" side.
All this does is let the "fish" breathe a little longer, and then WHO KNOWS WHAT COULD HAPPEN???
I have been playing FF for 19 years and there is nothing....NOTHING, worse than losing to a team who got a crazy week out of their kicker or defense!
This is like when you are playing hold em, and you have two pair, top pair... whatever, and the flop throws down 3 hearts. You know the other guy has ONE heart, so instead of letting him WAIT AROUND by not betting big, you bet HUGE and muscle him out.
Letting the fish have "an out" (a defense or kicker at flex) when they didn't prepare in the first place, is taking the SKILL & MANAGEMENT out of the game.
Sorry Gekko, I LOVED BBDS, but this is just not a good idea IMO.

i don't understand why playing an extra kicker or defense means that the owner is unprepared. please don't tell me you are that simple-minded

[/QUOTE]I don't ever recall having more than 2 kickers on my team. I think I had 3 defenses once, because I was playing the "matchups" down the stretch, as I was out of it. Honestly, I don't think I would ever have started 2 anyhow, as I was just looking ahead in future weeks.
I had some injured players, or players who weren't producing on my bench, so why not replace them with some defenses?

In say Week 10, there are NO viable options available at RB, WR, or TE (which is often the case), so because that person didn't think ahead (plan for byes or injuries), we are going to give them an "out"?
You don't seem the type to give out charity Gekko, but that is EXACTLY what this concept would be doing.
On another note, I respect you enough to not even ask if you are simple-minded. Just because I don't agree with your idea, doesn't make me "simple-minded". If you TRULY looked at ALL sides of this concept (i.e played "Devil's Advocate" I KNOW you would see this "side of the coin".

UYT VERY good point UYT! That being said,, it would be difficult to not have ALL the NFFC events on the same scoring system.
This in the DC, would TOTALLY change everything (not for the better IMO).
