Todd Zola of Framingham, Massachusetts has also completed the trifecta in New York, adding the main event and the Draft Champions League to his auction league signup. Todd is with Mastersball.com and he has competed in almost every event we've offered in the NFFC and NFBC during the last two years and he's ready to select all of his beloved Patriots in these two drafts! Todd's Flying Elvis team finished 5-8 in New York League 3 last year with 1,434.2 points, adding 484.23 points (96th overall) in the Consolation Round. We welcome yet another team from the Leaderboard Sports.com group as Lyal Fox Jr. and his son, Lyal Fox III, will be teaming up for a spot in the NFFC's main event at the Chicago Oakbrook Marriott on Saturday, Sept. 3. Lyal was originally scheduled to be a co-manager in Chicago with Rob Konitzer, but Rob is now teaming up with Thomas Wachter, a veteran of the NFFC and NFBC. We welcome the father-son team to Chicago and wish them best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

We close out our 15th league in the NFFC's main event by welcoming our newest member to the growing NFFC family. Michael Zukowski of Centerville, Massachusetts joined us for the National Fantasy Baseball Championship in March and he had so much fun that he's signing up for football for the first time. We welcome Michael with free gifts and free drinks and wish him the best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize. We begin the week working on our 16th league in the NFFC's main event as Saro Semerciyan of Cliffside Park, New Jersey and co-manager Anthony Mirkovic return to the New York Hilton on Saturday, Sept. 3rd for the big event. The duo led their Arsenal team to a 9-4 record last year in New York League 2, earning third place money by finishing 59th overall with 1,679.85 points. Arsenal then finished 46th overall in the Consolation Round with 538.32 points. Saro is currently competing in the NFBC as well, trying to earn some baseball money there. One programming change: Charlie Gillespie and Jason Aberli of Louisville, Kentucky have changed their entry from Las Vegas to Chicago for the main event and the auction league. That leaves us with one open spot in the Las Vegas Auction League and three open spots in the Chicago Auction League. We'll fill those and be done with the auction leagues. Thanks everyone.

Eddie Gillis of Jamestown, Rhode Island is one of only a handful of players who has entered EVERY event we've offered in baseball and football. Eddie is now completing the trifecta-plus one by adding the NFFC Ultimate League to his weekend of fun. He becomes the 13th owner for the $5,000 NFFC Ultimate League on Sunday, Sept. 4th, drafting live in New York. Let's get one more spot for that and close it out as there doesn't seem to be enough interest for a second Ultimate League like we had in baseball. One is a good starting point, so let's finish this up. Thanks Eddie and best of luck in the hunt for the $42,500 in league prizes.

The prize structure on the home page link seems to indicate a 1st place prize of $27,500, plus $5,000 each for the H2H and points winners (which I assume can be the same owner). That would total $37,500.

We're glad to welcome back our 133th team from 2004 to the 2005 event as Richie Primo of Sewell, New York will be returning to the New York Hilton on Saturday, Sept. 3rd for the NFFC's main event. Richie's Grid Reapers stumbled out of the gate last year and had to deal with some jail time from Jamal Lewis and injuries and ..... well, you get the story as the Grid Reapers finished 5-8 in New York League 2 with 1,330.25 points. The Grid Reapers then finished 68th overall in the Consolation Round with 505.58 points. Richie heads Primo Hoagies Inc. and some day we'll commission his company for some big-time snacks in New York. For now we welcome him back to the main event and wish him best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

Richie and Tom Rossi have also signed up for the New York Draft Champions League in New York on Friday, Sept. 2nd at the New York Hilton. We now have that league half filled and will finish the rest of the field over the last three weeks. Thanks guys and best of luck in the hunt for the $4,250 first place prize in that league.

Tom Rossi is also returning to the New York Hilton on Saturday, Sept. 3rd for our main event, becoming the 134th team from 2004 to return in 2005. Tom had the same type of fortune that his good buddy, Richie Primo, had last year as his Blown Coverage team finished 3-10 in New York League 4 with 1,396.9 points. Blown Coverage finished strong as it accumulated 499.46 points in the Consolation Round to finish 78th overall. Tom is back for the main event and he's teaming up with Richie in the Draft Champions League. Welcome back, Tom, and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize, the $5,000 league prize and the $4,250 Draft Champions League prize.

Great news! I'm pretty sure that Richie was in New York 1 though, as he was right next to me at the draft table.

Your blurb on Richie and Jamal Lewis reminded me of something. Last year we had the 7th pick in NY1, and my partner and I were debating whether we were going to take Randy Moss (who went 6th), Jamal Lewis (8th), Kevan Barlow (early 2nd round), or Edgerrin James. We ended up taking James -- amazing how important that decision ended up being.
