NNOY I just got the news on your boy S.Davis. I posted on the league board after Uber brought it up. Drafting that 3rd RB early looks like the right choice for your team - at least early in the season.

Brad your statements are all well received however I saw little in week one to adjust any of my projections significantly downward. Favre will still throw 28-30 TD’s, Vick will dominate AZ and SD in the coming weeks (talk to me again after those games) and S. Davis will get his 1300+ again (just watch what he does against the KC D this week.)

Feel free to chime in again after you outscore me in a week. Care to rephrase these predictions at all? I am guessing Davis won't be getting his 1300 yards unless he will be able to do it during the last 10-12 weeks of the season now. I will instead be watching DeShaun Foster do the shredding against the Kansas City defense this week it appears (with the points going to my team).

The value of a 3rd RB pays dividends in week 2. This injury actually has a minimal impact on my team, having C. Martin to drop into the RB slot means I have to go with Patten or a FA at flex. Had this happened last week I would have netted 13 more points.

It appears that STARTING a WR (wow I’ve conformed to the MB’s abbreviation) in the flex is the proper move in most cases. However, drafting three RB’s in the first three rounds is almost a MUST. Sucks more for the other 15 Davis owners than it does for me, because many of them are likely starting the likes of Troy Hambrick this week.

I incurred the wrath of the FFB Gods with my Charlie Rogers post, so you’d better be careful about popping off about Davis. Good luck with Foster, if I remember correctly he’s actually more injury prone than Davis (better pick up He Hate Me.)

I find it absolutely amazing how you manage to continue to look at things thru Rose-Colored glasses.

I am also guessing you are one of the only people that can actually come off as sounding like your team just got better by losing your 2nd round selection (we all would have netted more points by moving our highest scoring bench player in for someone last week I am guessing).

I seemed to have missed the line in your last post that said 'I was wrong about my Davis prediction of 1300+ yards for the season'. Can we ever hope to see a post like that out of you this season?

(1) Davis may only be out 2-3 weeks and next week is the Carolina bye anyway, so he may miss only 1-2 games. When it’s all said and done we can talk about how close my prediction for him was.
(2) Didn’t your mama ever teach you never to admit being wrong? Not that I have ever been “wrong” on the MB, but if I am odds are I can find a way to put a positive spin on my comments rather than offer an apology, so don’t expect that sort of thing from me anytime soon.

as i had stated a long time ago, davis getting hurt is the exact reason to draft 3 rbs early. i took one in the 1,2, and 4th round. my 3rd round pick was steve smith...greeeat

if one of your top two backs get hurt youre screwed...with 3, you get a more consistent flex starter, and insurance, which the last time i checked in the nfl and a 14 team league is huuuuuuge

rus -- my #2 back got hurt and it hasn't really hurt my team very much.

Of course my #2 was Richie Anderson!
