Greg (or anyone who knows), who is the Host/Commish/Person-in-charge in Chicago?
TVs won't be on during the draft, will they?
There will be ponies on all of them before the draft. All can be turned off at any point. We OWN that room!!
I'm thinking of defecting to Chitown. I don't care if ponies are on before. During the draft, if the ponies are on the TV, I would want the sound turned off.

But the room has a nice setup and the betting windows are open right across the hall. You can make money a lot of different ways in the Windy City!!
No problem if you switch locations. That's easy to do. Just stay in touch on all.

For the record, Mike and his crew did a GREAT job last year for the NFFC! They were on EVERYTHING,and made sure everyone had what they needed (minus the drunks! )
It's a great time, Jules and the people in Chicago are a lot of fun!
Welcome also to Darren.....hell of a player!

So let me get this straight. BillyWaz is coming back to Chicago, Jules may be coming, and now the points leader from last year is also coming, Darren. And sign ups are just getting started.
I may need to hitchhike with Benetti to Buffalo!

Who's Coming To The 2010 NFFC In Chicago?
We started our second Classic main event league in Chicago today with the newest member of the growing NFFC family. Jon Thomason of Janesville, Wisconsin is going to head down to Arlington Park in Chicago for our $100,000 event. This is Jon's first venture in the NFFC, but he's a big CDM/Fanball player who is crossing over and joining us for the 14-teamer in the Windy City. Welcome aboard Jon and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize.

Welcome aboard Richard and best of luck in the hunt for the $50,000 grand prize and the $3,000 league prize.

Who's Coming To The 2010 NFFC In Chicago?
I will be staying in Chicago and at the very least drafting in both Mains on Saturday at the Arlington Trackside.
I will be attending on Friday but maybe not drafting. I am not quite sure yet.
Anyone interested in Poker on Friday night? If there is interest I will make it happen.
Anyone interested in a handicapping tournament on Saturday? You would receive a Racing Form on Friday or Saturday with a sheet to make selections for the Saturday racing card. An entrance fee would be charged and we could reward the winners with entries to next years events? It would be a simple challenge with each person selecting one horse to Win-Place-Show each race. Your score would be created based on payouts for a standard $2 across the board bet. The number of winners and prizes would be based on the price point and number of entrants. I would run the challenge and provide updates as the day progressed on Saturday. ( I vote to have the races on TV with the sound down)
I will move forward if there is a demand for a little more fun in Chitown.
I reside in the South Suburbs, about 40 miles from the race track. Hotels are likely cheaper by me and I could look for a room rate and transportation to and from for both days so no one has to worry about driving before and after?
Please let me know the following:
1) Which ideas you are interested in.
2) Price points for poker that would be acceptable to you.
3) Price point for a handicapping tourney
4) Where you are staying when coming to Chitown. (I would seek a central location for a party unless folks would be willing to travel to my end of town as I already have some nice options available to me there)
5) Hotels and transportation.
6) Dinner plans for Friday evening after the drafts. No poker or party, just a great meal.
7) Your contact info - email and phone
If you are interested in any of the concepts listed above, please email me at
Who needs Vegas anyway?
