Tim Tebow - Let's Talk

In any event, I don't think it's a reach to say Tebow's on a short leash. Of course, the problem with that is Quinn stinks and is probably a downgrade from Tebow, as difficult as that may be for some to believe. The difference comes in defensive preparation.

I think they both stink, but they each stink in their own special way. With Tebow, the defense has to spend a lot of prep time on stopping the read-option. With Quinn in there, the playbook is completely different.

I think Tebow starts, but he might get yanked OR Quinn might be put in for specific packages OR it's all propaganda mind games designed to make Pittsburgh waste time preparing for both.

It doesn't really matter...the Broncos are doomed in all scenarios.

I think Quinn did take half the reps as several reports indicated and the Broncos are trying to keep it hush-hush for fear of people knowing they aren't confident in Tebow.

As far as Tebow/Quinn, I think Tebow by far gives the Broncos the best chance to win. Quinn is terrible. I'm not saying Tebow's great; just that he can do more in my opinion at QB than Quinn can. If the Broncos go to Quinn, the game is over. It'll probably be over anyway but that'll seal the deal.

What's the Over/Under of Tebow getting pulled today?

I say 2nd series of the second half.

I say 2nd series of the second half. He won't make it that long if he's struggling. I'd say the odds are the same as they were going into the Oakland game - about 95%. He bucked the odds that week and that's when Tebow Time really kicked into gear. Not sure he'll fare as well today.

The Broncos did give Brady Quinn more work in practice last week as reports indicated. According to Jay Glazer, they have plans in place to at least use Quinn on third downs if necessary today. I think there's less than a 1% chance this proves effective.

You gotta love going on the road in the playoffs against a team with QB issues, or better than that, "NO" QB.

I think this is a completely idiotic move by Fox. I understand the concern with Tebow but this doesn't strike me as an intelligent solution. Tebow's confidence is shot. Forcing him to look over his shoulder and see if Quinn's coming in isn't likely to help his confidence any.

Seems to me Fox has two choices here:

1. Sink or swim with Tebow.
2. Start Quinn.

Pick one, Fox. It's not that difficult. But I'd be shocked if starting Tebow and spot using Quinn in certain packages or plays proves to be effective.

I agree with you, Bill. The Steelers have to be loving this.

I have to admit that Tebow has already outperformed Matt Ryan.
