No problem Jeff - take care. I believe it's Mike's nomination first this week. All rookies are now available for nomination!

wait, so when kapefear bid 7,7, and 4, he only had 13$ available to bid? All 3 of those bids shouldn't count. You can't pick and choose which will count. Whoever had the bid before that post should still have had those players. It doesn't matter for any of them because they went for more, except Mendenhall. I bid 4 bucks right after that. I should get him.

sorry for posting this now, i wasn't on the computer last night and didn't see what was going on, my buddy was bidding for me.

Boutrous,

It is very possible that I will make a mistake in the bidding and I'll try and do a better job posting the max bids but in the case he wasn't overbid when he placed his 7-7-4 bids. He bid this.

mcfaden$7
Brown$7
Mendenhall $4

McFadden was already at 7 by hammer a couple of minutes earlier so the mcfadden bid was never valid.

The way I have been looking at this is that bids are valid until the point that somebody is overbid and then that bid is the one that is not valid. So his total bid was $11 and he had a max bid of $13 for any 2 players.

When we found that Jeff overbid last night we put McFadden back up for auction and gave everybody a chance to bid again. Nobody bid so we sold him. There isn't a perfect solution but that is in my opinion the best way to do it. After I post the final results I ask for corrections and if there aren't any then I would consider those final.

It is tough having 50 bids being placed in a 10 minute period and trying to keep track of everything. I hope that there won't be any mistakes going forward but it is definitely possible.

I hope this helps.

eh, i guess.

If you wanna just give me Mendenhall at 4 Kapefear, I'll gladly take him.

not a huge deal i guess. everyone needs to know what their max bid is though at all times.

We need to police ourselves but there will inevitably be mistakes made. This format makes it impossible to fully 'correct' errors.

We will always be able to find fault in the solution. We have every right to suggest but please accept whatever decision is made and move on.

I witnessed real friendships fall apart in a home league when I made a huge mistake in an auction. I went over my budget and it wasn't caught until another ten picks were made. Nobody could agree on the solution and a shouting match broke out.

Nobody's household finances will hinge on whether Bryant Johnson goes for $2 or $4.
