Billy Wasosky Wins 2021 Rotowire OC & $200,000

Billy Wasosky of Richmond, Virginia won the 2021 Rotowire Online Championship and its $200,000 grand prize in historic fashion last night. His team jumped up 26 spots in Week 17 with a historic 252.60 point week, capped off by a 29.60 Monday Night performance from Najee Harris. Add that to Ja'Marr Chase's 55.60 points, Joe Burrow's 47.30 points and Davante Adams's 30.60 points and you have a new champion of this great national contest.

Billy and Danny Mueller were locked into a tight battle for the top spot before the Monday Night Game as Billy had Najee Harris and Pittsburgh's Team Kicker, while Danny had a 20.95 point lead. But Billy got 17.80 points from Pittsburgh's kicker and 29.60 points from Najee Harris to win the title in dramatic -- and unprecedented -- fashion. Congrats to both of you for a great, great season.

Billy finished ahead of Danny by 26.45 points with Leo Bell, Brian Lapidus and Kenneth Tagliaferri rounding out the Top 5. We paid the Top 40 teams in the Championship Round, with the Top 6 teams earning $10,000 or more. The Rotowire Online Championship finished with a record 4,176 teams this year and had 838 teams in the Championship Round. Look for this contest to also have bigger prizes in 2022 as this contest continues to grow and grow each year.

Billy's WHATEVER IT TAKES team won its league title and finished 33rd overall through the regular season. It dropped to 195th overall after scoring 145.40 points in Week 15 before jumping back up to 27th overall with a Week 16 total of 203.75 points. That set him up to possibly win the overall title with a big Week 17 and his team delivered in dramatic fashion. That's one to remember Billy, for sure.
