As many of you know, securing ballroom space at key hotels on The Strip is getting harder and harder every year. We had conversations with the Bellagio and Aria again and we even walked the Aria convention space with a sales rep in September. We would LOVE to return to the Bellagio or Aria again, but both places couldn't make it work for us in 2025. And what's even worse, the Bellagio has turned all of their Executive Penthouse Suites from boardroom suites with that nice boardroom table and TV into billiards room suites!!!
They no longer offer the Executive Penthouse Suites with a boardroom!!! SO SAD!!!Anyway, we met with our Park MGM sales rep during our stay there this year and they even had conventions booked a year out. The Griffith Ballrooms that we used this year for Second Weekend, were already booked, which proved to me that we either had to get in where we could earlier than ever or be left out of that part of the Strip. I think we all want to remain down on that part of the Strip for football, so we grabbed the available space at Park MGM and secured a really nice room block for 12 days.
Our First Weekend events will be in the Griffith Ballrooms on the Second Floor, similar to what we had for Second Weekend this year. We will have 2-3 ballrooms that weekend and host a schedule similar to past years. On the Second Weekend, we'll have all of the Kensington and Richmond Ballrooms on the First Floor, just like we had Second Weekend in 2023. Those are nice ballrooms, but unfortunately there's a wall between Kensington and Richmond, so Saturday's 6 Primetime leagues will be split into 3 open ballrooms and 3 open ballrooms. We'll get everyone into Kensington for the Stage of Champions presentations and make it work. Being on that floor also gives us access to two other ballrooms where we could host some other events, like more $350 Rotowire Online Championship Live drafts and maybe even a Podcast Room. Stay tuned on that.
Anyway, our room block starts on Thursday, August 28th and runs through Monday, September 8th. You do NOT have to stay at our host hotel, but if you'd like to we have a limited amount of rooms each night. First come, first served on our room block. Labor Day Weekend is always a busy time in Las Vegas, so rooms aren't cheap, but we got rooms at $79 every day except Friday and Saturday, which is $209 both weekends. That's actually a pretty good price on Friday and Saturday, and much lower than what we had last year. The ballrooms are very easy to find and can be accessed from the Guest Elevators for the Second Floor and a short walk from them for the First Floor. It's very convenient to stay at our host hotel.

We don't have the NFL schedule yet, but the Las Vegas Raiders have opened their season on the road each of the last four years. This feels like a home opener for the Raiders this year, which would make rooms more expensive at that end of the Strip if that happens.
