I was very high on this guy as a mid draft value pick. I absolutely believed he was going to be a serious factor with the Browns within a few weeks of the regular season and had high upside potential. I was thrilled to get him on my online team.
Let the fantasy football pain begin.
Those who have Harrison just got a lucky boost.

Matt,
Predicting injuries in nearly impossible in football. Shall we talk about A. Petersons glass collarbones in college? Will you be passing on him if he is available?
Fantasy football is about identifying who is most likely to produce big numbers. Those who think they can predict when Tom Brady is going to have his knee blown out are a dime a dozen. The reality is they THINK they can predict those things when no one really can. Sim-walker was regularly hurt before last season. Gore misses games every year. Steven Jackson?
I think most experts in the industry would see Hardesty in the 10th round as good value. Downer to see the kid go down the day after you draft him.

Made of glass is being nice. Just kidding with that. Mid rounds is fair and EVERYONE gets hurt. Guys are very large and hit hard.

Matt,
I would wager the injury (I didn't see it) he just sustained is the exact same type of injury 100's of other players have had over the last few years who have no injury history.
If he pulled a hammy, or has cronic problems with ankles, I could see your point. But tons of guys blow out ACL's of all ages.. some with injury history, some with none.
I just don't think you can predict it.
If you are saying you were avoiding this RB that was one of the fastest rising RB's in fantasy football over the last week with nothing but glowing positive reports from his camp and organization because you knew he was going to blow out his knee and thus knew not to spend a 10th round pick on him then you are a better fantasy player than me... lol

NOW...if he had come through last night I would have started to think he was worth a risk earlier. But coaches talk is cheap.

I happened to get Harrison in both the primetime and classic because i saw the risk in hardesty. It doesn't make me a genius just as if hardesty started by week 3 and dominated the rest of the year you wouldn't be a genius Renman. It's all opinions and bad/good breaks depending which side you happen to land on. Good luck tomorrow Renman! Atleast you won't spend a pick on Hardesty in the mains like some folks already did (ouch!). Renman will you be in Vegas next week?
