Draft Order For $125 Slow Draft #1

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Fri Jul 16, 2010 6:23 am

Wow, now this was fun. We finally have our first draft order of the satellite league season and KDS worked marvelously. SIX owners got their first preference. More details to come soon, but here is the draft order:

$125 Slow Draft #1, Draft Champions League
Starting Wednesday, July 21
Draft Order:
1. Andy Saxton
2. Scott Liebman
3. David Kennedy
4. Wayne Ellis
5. Greg Dietzler
6. Thomas Kay
7. Amanda Hanson
8. Scott Wieland
9. Rob Benetti
10. Matthew Bayley
11. Pete Suni
12. Chad Tabler
13. Jason Steeves
14. Mike Sanda

I will need to get everyone signed up for this league next week and paid online, but no worries right now. We'll do that once we get the draft room finished and set it up online. Owners will get each pick emailed to them and will have 12 hours to make each pick. This should be a lot of fun and I know everyone is excited to get this league started. Thanks all and good luck. Oh, and this is a Pay Top 3 league with the same $125 DC payouts we have on the satellite league page.

I decided to see what preference owners would have received if we hadn't run KDS and it is again very interesting and makes me wonder why nobody else does this. The average KDS received after I randomly picked the draft spots was 7.5, which is right on average for a randomly selected league but much, much worse than what KDS produced.

Only one owner would have gotten his No. 1 pick and in fact one owner who did get his top KDS preference would have gotten his 12th preference under the random process. In fact, five owners would have gotten a preference that was their 12th or lower. Preferences received if we hadn't run KDS would have been:

5
9
3
3
7
3
12
13
12
10
2
12

That's why I think everyone in the NFFC will set their KDS this year and most people will get a spot they want because others may not want that spot. It should be a lot of fun and this first draft with KDS proves how wild this season is going to be. Let's fill up that $375 Slow Draft now and see what those nuts think!! :D

KDS is the main selling point IMHO after the 14 team leagues of course. 3RR comes in third on the pecking order but in the 14 team format it is a must.

Thanks Greg.

Let's draft already!

[/QUOTE]Hopefully Wednesday. The software is being tested again today and it should be good to go soon. Bugs are almost out, but we have a little more work to do. Should be fun in no time at all.
