Last Day Of NFFC Drafts: Let The Season Begin

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Sat Sep 10, 2011 2:44 am

This is almost a bittersweet day for me and everyone involved with running the NFFC. After a hectic six weeks of online and live drafts, Christmas Day is coming to an end!! The Live and Online Drafts conclude today and the season REALLY kicks off tomorrow. Good luck all.

I have to say that I've never been more pleased with the Live and Online drafts in the eight years we've been hosting these for football. Everyone in the live drafts showed up on time, before time, ready to draft and courteous of their other drafters. We had GREAT facilities this year and great facilitators. The Online draft software worked without a hitch and even though we had some confusion in the draft room at times with the two DRAFT buttons, we got through them in great shape. Again, everyone arrived early for the Online drafts and for the most part everyone was prepared, courteous and competitive.

I know the guys in Las Vegas are preparing for the final live drafts at 10 am PT and 4 pm PT. They have had a BLAST with the new NFFC members and I hope they've shown all of them a good time. It sure sounds like it. I'm giddy about the upcoming season after watching that exciting Packers-Saints opener and I know all of you are too. LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!! :D

THANKS AGAIN ALL!!! You have been FANTASTIC this season. It was the tsunami of all off-seasons with the NFL lockout, the economy, the WCOFF fiasco/disaster, and even some personal roadbumps for some of us along the way. But we got through it all, we survived and we even thrived. The NFFC is better because of all your trust and support. Going forward, the NFFC is primed for GREAT things and we will be an industry leader in baseball and football for years to come. I can promise you this: WE WILL NOT LET YOU DOWN. If you win money this year, you will have it in your hands in a matter of days, not months.

Now just draft a good team today and be ready for a GREAT SEASON. Good luck all and let's play ball.

Last Day Of NFFC Drafts: Let The Season Begin

I thought this might me the right thread to post my feelings about NFFC and Greg and Tom.

I was an original WCOFFer and nobody can explain the feeling ( unless you were there) of waiting and entering the draft room for the first time. Lenny and Emil were similar to Tom and Greg, they were passionate ff enthusiasts themselves who had a dream about a high stakes fantasy football league. When they sold I felt an immediate culture change and never signed up again.

I found NFFC which was a much smaller contest and after seeing Tom and Greg on the message boards along with other postings by members, I decided to join. They seemed to have the same passion for the game as Lenny and Emil.

The last couple of years were pretty tumultuous at NFFC and I was set to bail until the new relationship with STATS. I am not exactly sure what the corporate structure is between them and STATS but it seems like they are back in control. My comfort level with these guys is very high and given the state of affairs in HSFF that is the most important thing for me.

For all new members of NFFC rest assured that these guys will answer your personal emails almost immediately. Any questions or issues on the message board are addressed at the same response rate. There is nothing they back away from. They offer the best customer service you can ask for.

Going forward I wish you hard working guys continued growth and success which is looking terrific. You will be getting all of my money, I am hoping I can draft well enough to get some of it back from you.

Packers, Brewers, Badgers, you can't beat 'em. We're on a serious roll here. We'd worry about the Bucks, but the NBA will be on strike so long we might win one or two more Super Bowls inbetween. :D Have fun in Illinois!!
