so for those of us who are statistically challenged the following happened: ( I have spent all day trying to figure it out if that says anything about me!!)
On the KDS page there are 14 vertical boxes and you put in order going top down your preferences for which order you want your KDS set. So the following scenario is what happend?
Lets say I set my kds the following way:
BOX #______________________What was given to Greg
Box 1=1____________________Number 1=1
Box 2=2____________________Number 2=2
Box 3=14___________________Number 3=8
Box 4=13___________________Number 4=9
Box 5=7____________________Number 5=10
Box 6=8____________________Number 6=11
Box 7=9____________________Number 7=5
Box 8=3____________________Number 8=6
Box 9=4____________________Number 9=7
Box 10=5___________________Number10-13
Box 11=6___________________Number 11=12
Box 12=11__________________Number 12=14
Box 13=10__________________Number 13=4
Box 14=12__________________Number 14=3
So lets say I am third in line to get my draft choice. The first 2 guys pick spot 1 and 2. So since I am next at third choice I should have been given draft spot 14 because it was my third choice. Instead I got pick 8 because I put 3 as my choice in box 8. So the excel spreadsheet that was sent out assumed the order for KDS was not top to bottom but rather it looked at the number you entered in the box and assumed that the box number was your preference??
Sorry if I have confused anyone!!

Dawg YOU ARE THE WINNER!!!
Nowhere on the NFFC Draft Preferences do you see two columns, nor do we. What you see on your draft page is what we thought the Excel document showed us. STATS thought we'd correlate the preferences in order, which would have been EXTREMELY difficult to do from the line item listings we received.
So once we found the mistake, we found that not only were the KDS listings wrong but some folks were actually punished by the way the KDS listings were given to us. It explains why on the previous thread that SNAKE started that some folks were getting their 13th preference. Yes, some did, but that thread showed that too many folks were getting those spots.
We had to fix the wrong because it was REALLY wrong. People were getting hurt by this mistake and it took Tom and I two minutes to figure that out. Once we did, we both hopped back in the office and redid the KDS preferences. There really was no other choice.
Going forward, obviously we need to get on the same wavelength with STATS. But I also think we'll just go the old fashioned way and go into every single team page like we did before this year to look at them for ourselves. I can't speak for Tom, but I won't trust any other way going forward no matter how big we get.
