Javon Walker - knee surgery
as some predicted this preseason...Javon Walker will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery
Is my "weekend warrior" prep better than your prep?

looks like the Denver Post says he's gonna be out around 4 weeks. That's not good at all. It doesn't look good for his long term future injury either.

If you guys have the medical diplomas posted somewhere I can't see them I apologize - otherwise, even if you stayed at a Holiday Inn, I think the conjecture is crappola.
NFL players have come back from this in a few weeks before - so he may or may not be out three or four weeks. I doubt he is out for the entire season - although we really need to see the surgery reports to get more information.....so good luck in getting someone in your league to drop him.

here's what's going to happen...walker will have surgery. optimism will abound that he'll be back in 4 weeks. walker owners will be "forced" into keeping him and tying up a VALUABLE roster spot.
around week 11 or 12, news will break that walker is lost for the season. frustrated owners will quickly drop him and hope there is some talent left on the waiver wire

Javon Walker - knee surgery
I was trying to find that clip that KOQ posted which I remembered reading myself this summer.
Walker had "some issue" with his knee (yes, the same one), and said it wasn't a problem.
It is a shame for his owners, but was the writing on the wall?

Thursday at Broncos camp: Walker fine after scare
By Lee Rasizer, Rocky Mountain News
August 16, 2007
An uncomfortable sensation filled Javon Walker's right knee as he landed awkwardly after making an end-zone reception Thursday morning.
For a moment, he didn't know what to think, especially given he'd had surgery twice before on the same leg after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in September 2005.
"It was kind of scary," Walker said. "I actually didn't know what was wrong."
A magnetic resonance imaging exam was performed to find out. The news apparently turned out to be the best-case scenario.
"From what I understand, some of the tissue and cartilage is still breaking away from the surgery, which is a good thing because the range of motion gets better in my knee," he said.
Walker sat out the afternoon practice, his first absence this summer. The receiver has looked fit and fast in previous workouts, offering proof the knee will come back stronger the second year, as his surgeon promised him it would in a follow-up visit this offseason.
"I plan on playing on Saturday," Walker said. "I'll be ready to go."
