Where Are They Now?

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Wed Aug 08, 2007 8:11 am

Okay, it's time to start a thread to see if any of our Message Board lurkers are actually past MB posters and NFFC players. It's time to find out where our old friends are and if they are coming back to compete in 2007. This is our "Where Are They Now?" thread, similar to the issue Sports Illustrated put out a few weeks ago!!

So, where is Dyv?? :D

Where is Richie Primo, who finished 24th overall last year and made the Championship Round?? And when is Richie going to make a line of NFFC Hoagies for the Friday-Saturday gig in New York? :D

Where is Jersey Paul, who first talked about 3RR? Never mind, I know the answer to that one!!

Where is Josh Ferenc, our 2005 NFFC Champion?

Where is Artie Rastelli, our 2004 NFBC Champion who always competes in football too!! :D

Where is Ugly Yellow Tomatoes?? :D Oops, never mind. We found him yesterday.

Where's Poopy Tooth this year?? :D Every live draft needs a Poopy Tooth in it!!

Okay, send out the rescue squads as we're going to sell out the NFFC soon enough with or without our well known past participants. There is a reward (drink tickets!!) if you find them!! :D

No Primo???? That was one of the draws for me coming to NYC thiw year!

No Primo???? That was one of the draws for me coming to NYC thiw year! Okay, I better tell the truth on this one. I talked with Josh yesterday and he is definitely coming back. He's just trying to decide between drafting in Chicago or New York. He's not returning to Las Vegas this year, so the Champ could be joining the 2004 Champ in New York (Gordon Gekko) or the 2006 Champ in Chicago (Rob Benetti).

Look for Josh's signup to come in by the end of the week.

Now, let's find the others!! :D

Good to know we have NFFC grand champions everywhere except Las Vegas. But since our first two champs came out of my drafts in Sin City, maybe another one will come from there again!! ;)

It's funny how the Champs want to leave their past sins in Las Vegas and not return, wouldn't you say?

Okay, I'll give one more secret away here. I thought for sure GG or someone else would inquire about Dyv, but I guess "out of sight, out of mind" works here!! :D I did give our old friend Dyv a call on his cell phone today and he's planning on joining us for a festive time in Las Vegas this year. He drafted in Chicago for baseball and his teams are competitive, but he realizes that hoisting Corona's with me in Las Vegas will help his teams become even more competitive. So I trust he will sign up this weekend and have a few brews with us in Sin City.

I know a few folks will enjoy seeing Dyv again as we missed him last summer in Las Vegas. He's doing well and could be joining the Message Board chatter soon enough!!

as for the main event, i believe i'm arriving saturday late morning and leaving after the draft. all business my friends
