OK
... but if I take the time to dig this out (tonight) I want to make it worth my while. I don't want you saying it's situational or making other excuses for posting what you said.
I get an "I'm wrong about the quote" from you.
And I get an apology for saying you wanted a debate ... only to cut me off after you spouted you opinion.
Fair enough?

Ugly,
You can save yourself the time and prove you are here for friendly football discussion and simply OUTLINE YOUR VIEWPOINTS NOW. If this is more about winning some he said/he said pis*ing match by all means go dig up the posts because I clearly remember bullet pointing out my opinions and asking you respectfully to explain where I was wrong.
That is the exact opposite of you now saying I said "I dont wanna hear your opinion" (something I would never say in my life about anything because I grow from other peoples opinions).
I am here for football talk. Not petty message board bully fests. I will give you a fake apology right now if it means you would CLEARLY explain why I am so "ignorant" as you put it.
I want to talk about football. That's it.
I made a harmless post earlier in the season (you were not even active in the thread) and said it is my opinion that DC events are a little more luck based than regular format fantasy football. You came out of nowhere with a hostility fueled post telling me I am an idiot for having that opinion.
I bullet pointed out my logic to support that opinion and asked you to explain where I was wrong. I have a vague memory of you calling me some names and fading away. Here we are weeks later. The same opinion got made. Another poster made the same opinion. You (again, not active in the thread) suddenly appear again and get angry about it.
We should be able to express and exchange opinions on this without you getting upset about it and hostile.

GK,
I could not agree more. A harmless opinion should be allowed to be voiced here without people getting sensitive about it. If they don't like the opinion, we should be able to debate/discuss the differing sides of it in a friendly respectful way.
I certainly do not like to be called ignorant on the topic of fantasy football (my NFFC record would show otherwise) for simply having and sharing certain opinions.
This forum used to be ultra active. Over the years certain people took it over and at times bullied others. I saw many newcomers get personally insulted here and never come back. That is a big reason this forum is a morgue at times. Whether it be expressing that I believe Tomlinson is not done and his drop in production was more related to other things than him, or my opinion that DC leagues may have a bit more luck involved. I (or others) should not be attacked or insulted for those opinions.

Do you really believe I was angry with my buddy Wayne (whom I know personally and am friends with?) Angry with Wayne ... lol ... talk about fabrication!!!!! Although I do want to thank you for giving me an excuse to call him and have a laugh with him (maybe it was an angry laugh).
NO ... I don't want to allow you to continue to shift the subject and create a moving target for every exchange we have ... I'll find your posts tonight. I am tired of you posting lies like the one above and the one before that.

ugly,
You attacked the guy, told him he should ashamed of himself and chastised him for misguiding readers and told him he was flat out wrong for having that opinion...lol I think you realized how you came off and thus it was important enough to make a personal phone call to clarify your position.
You get real hostile real fast sometimes.
Here is/was my viewpoint as simple as I can make it... (for about the 4th time)
There are multiple fantasy football skills involved in regular format fantasy football.
-scouting
-conducting a good draft
-making the best lineup decisions
-working the free agent wire and managing the team.
-trading (obviously not in NFFC)
All of these skills are utilized in traditional format fantasy football.
If you have bad luck with injuries you can at times, via SKILL, manage the team around and through those injuries to still be successful. You can erase some of the bad luck with team management skills.
In DC leagues only 2 of the above 4/5 fantasy football skills are challenged. Not only can you not manage the team around bad luck injuries. But luck based injuries can actually STRENGTHEN your team if things bounce your way.
Now anyone who has consistent success at EITHER or ANY format is deserving of fantasy football praise. Based on the above logic I believe there is a little more luck involved in the DC format. Countless people I know or have talked to on this feel the same way. Coltfan obviously felt the same way.
You seem to feel differently. I am asking you as nice as possible to explain how I am wrong or to outline all of these points you have in your back pocket (you have referenced them numerous times yet never type them) so I can become enlightened.
Who knows? Maybe your logic will open my eyes to something I am not seeing and I can become a DC player and will have you to thank for it.
Can you move forward on this or no?

Yep ... no way i was joking with a buddy. I am 100% sure Wayne was not offended in any way shape or form. You again say I "attacked" him. I say I didn't. He will say I didn't. Why do you get to be the one to say I did?
He said he was flat wrong ... he even posted he was wrong. How dare Wayne say Wayne was wrong?
You are also wrong about the call (by the way ... he knows how I joke). I didn't even consider apologizing to him because I had nothing to apologize for ... I told him it would take too long to explain by post ... he said I should call him.
We talked for a while ... this topic didn't even come up for the first 15 minutes of the call. It was a fun call. We have had a number of calls regarding strategy over the last couple years.
You really don't have a clue about this ... yet you still post I attacked him and was angry with him. ... I guess you can continue to post what ever you want ... I can't stop you from making stuff up. I attacked Wayne ... LMAO

Renman, this topic was discussed months ago and people like me did post our reasons for disagreeing with you. You just didn't agree and continued to hammer home your points over and over (like you're now doing in this thread) as if the debate winner is simply he who posts his points the most or repeatedly declares himself the winner and 100% correct. Just because people tire of this and stop arguing with you doesn't make you right. There IS no 100% right! It's all very gray and there are counterpoints to each point. The closest we could get to declaring a winner would be a message board vote. Absent that, I guess you can just keep self-declaring your points as more accurate, be it DC vs active league luck or how washed up LT is.

Ugly,
Can we return to grown up world? Are you going to explain to me why I am wrong in the belief DC formats are a little more luck based than traditional format fantasy football?
Yes or no?
Sandman,
Maybe you do not see ugly tomatoes, who not only started and is fueling this silly meaningless debate, but is hammering it much more than me? When someone refuses to even post a counter point in a debate, they lost the debate. When someone resorts to making things personal in debate, they lost the debate.
I wish they would tire of it. I wish they would stop arguing. I see the direct opposite. I see a couple people who are relentless, but make it about me, and refuse to discuss the FOOTBALL portion of the discussion.
It is pretty clear who won the LT debate and it has ended up to be much more lopsided than the Tenn vs Jax Monday night game, a blowout that wasn’t even close.
Of course, if LT has stunk it up the remainder of 2009 and then was horrible this year. I would be the first guy to come here and have the stones to say “hey, I was wrong about LT… he really was done and I was mistaken in my viewpoints…”
