Carson Palmer Traded To The Raiders

Per Jay Glazer - Palmer will be dealt to Oakland for a 2012 first-round pick and a future conditional pick. Palmer's play wasn't all that great last season for the Bengals so the price looks steep to me. I would've probably gone after Kyle Orton for a far cheaper price.

From a fantasy perspective, Palmer is definitely worth a look, though, if you need a QB2. The Raiders have some nice weapons in the passing game and have an elite RB in McFadden. I wouldn't expect much from him but he could finish as a Top 20 fantasy QB.

The Raiders gave up two firsts (one is a conditional) to get Palmer. An absolute fleecing by the Bengals. Horrible trade for the Raiders. Palmer's not worth more than a third at this point in his career. To give up two first? Unbelievable.

Great day for the Bengals.

Who Dey!!! If this was a home fantasy league this trade would be rejected. It doesn't seem as much fun watching the raiders trip all over themselves without Al there, although he would've loved this move.

Great move by the Bengals.

The Raiders would just have blown those 1st round picks anyway. This is cheaper at least.

The conditional pick in 2013 that the Bengals acquired in Tuesday's Carson Palmer trade will be a first-rounder if the Raiders win one playoff game.

The good news keeps coming for the Bengals - Cedric Benson's suspension has been reduced to one game and a fine.
