Basically it would be a league of 14 teams following the rules of the NFFC main event with the winner getting a free entry into the NFBC next year. Much like a WSOP satellite tournament. Low cost, something like $90/owner. BUT, there is a small twist to the event which I'm working on finalizing. It seemingly gives owners more control of their draft...
I was thinking about having the draft via a mock site, MB, or even a chat room on the Tuesday or Wednesday following the NFFC main draft. I would not be opposed to having it in Vegas, but that would require more planning/resources. Friday is out due to DM and auction. Saturday seems out too due to main event and poker tournament. I guess we could have it Sunday morning or early afternoon. TEAM GEKKO will be in Vegas until Sunday night. Thoughts on where to have it, JB?

Is my "weekend warrior" prep better than your prep?
GEKKO Invitational
I'll be in Vegas Sept 1-14 so Thursday or Sunday would work for me. We could hold it in someones hotel room. I'm staying at the Flamingo, not sure how big the rooms are there. If someone had a large suite that would work best.

Vegas bad...wouldn't get the chance to stomp on the Gekko.

JB is just what some people call me.
You're right that 14 guys in a "regular" hotel room wouldn't work. But a large suite would. Otherwise, where could we hold it?
JP, why aren't you coming to Vegas, it's much more fun than New York or Chitown! There's still time to change your mind...
