What is the closest airport to either one of them?

Dallas for sure. If not, going back to LV, or might have to do phone hook up draft.
Projection 2010: Either winning my Classic LV/Chicago Dual League, or making it to the Catalina Wine Mixer.

Dallas didn't draw flies for WCOFF - unless Greg's address file shows a ton in Texas, I don't see this as viable.

If ATL is chosen, put the drafts in Buckhead and not near airport or downtown. Been here just 6 years, but that is the definitive call imo.

Great location though maybe the new Horseshoe Casino could be worth a look across the border in Indiana? Best poker room in the area. Absolutely...1000 times better. I hope we go back. It's always nice to stay where we draft.

Does it pay to have a fourth host city for football? Sure it does if it helps us grow the user base for two main events. Sure it does if it helps us bring in new members who also do baseball and basketball. Sure it does if it brings in new members who also do satellite leagues and now online championships for both sports.
We'd love to have 4+ leagues in every city and I thought we could get there in Florida. It didn't happen and now I have to re-evaluate that location. But expanding to Florida did allow us to keep some NFFC members who might have left to a different competition and it definitely brought in new members who are doing baseball and even basketball with us right now. It helped us expand our satellite league offerings, and with two main events in football it still makes sense to have a fourth location next fall.
Finding the right spot is the key. Maybe another East Coast venue makes more sense. Maybe Miami is worth a try for one year. I'm just not sure right now, but I am convinced that doing four locations makes more sense than three if we can save money for our current members, attract new members and still get a reasonable audience in that fourth spot.

do you have a breakdown by state of the '08 participants for the NFFC and WCOFF main events. i'm sure vegas attracts from all over and the other sites attract mainly regionally. i've said previously in a thread that the southeast is probably going to be the weakest draw for fantasy football because of the love of college football. i don't know if you've ever tried texas or not, but i have a feeling it would be like florida. it seems to me somewhere in between would make sense, which is NO, which is very risky. you have to accomadate the florida players, and somehow get more participation from the rest of the southeast. IMO, if you decide to try another site OUTSIDE the state of florida, the atlanta area makes sense. it just might bring in players from areas you haven't had before.

Off the top of my head, if you made a triangle of Atlanta, Orlando/Tampa, and Dallas, NEW ORLEANS would be pretty close to being in the middle!
That all being said, I personally would stay away from New Orleans and Florida due to the hurricanes.
My vote would be for Atlanta or Memphis.

I'd consider drafting in Dallas since I live here but I love Vegas so I'm not sure that I'd want to stay home and draft.
Hook is correct, WCOFF didn't have a good draw for Dallas. Then again, I think the NFFC is much more affordable.
