You are right. It is fun and games.
I see "the effects", and frankly, I could give a rat's ___. I decided for $125 I'd get a team with my favorite players on it - Calvin, Fitz and Gates - so I did it.
You didn't have to buy $100 worth of RB's the first night, either, Route C. You could have waited and been "stacked" with a bunch of backup RB's or RB's who occasionally have a nice game. By the way, can a team really be stacked with Willis McGahee on it?
The real auction starts on September 4. Bring your "A" game. See you then.

Does it really matter if the defenses average $2 apiece or $5 apiece? It all comes out in the wash.
Some people go for several studs and look for upside at the $1 - $2 players while others ignore the studs and look for a bunch of mid round players. We'll see how it all works out but there isn't a right or wrong here.
Route C - I wish it would be possible to put together that team!
Follow Me - Everything you said about kickers actually does makes sense. I can assure you I will have my fair share.
Jack - It's only 135 days away! I can loan you Bob to help you out if you want him! I'm sure you would love to have an assistant on your team. You might even end up with the highest points ever scored from the defensive position ever in a DC.

I can't believe some of you are genuinely upset about this draft. I drafted Jay Cutler!, and I'm still having a blast with this draft. You guys need to lighten up.

I"m having a lot of fun with this auction. Year long fantasy football is like a dream. The draft (or auction) is always the most fun part so this just keeps it fun for 6 additional months.

I truely am grateful you guys are doing this draft with me. I know everything is all good and this is not a dig at you, but it reminds me of an issue I have in situations like this.
I did not put myself in the position to take advantage of the potential bargains. Though I still have the right to try and persuade others to enforce reasonable pricing, I have lost my right to complain about it.
I have seen a lot of mistakes in this auction, but I have made more than 1/14th of them.

Luck in FF is like a game of Russian Roulette. The BWaz's of the world only have one bullet to spin - the rest of us have two. It's still mostly luck, but ...
