David U Kennedy wrote:Hear you there. But last year wasnt a normal year. A lot of rookie Rbs contributed. That doesnt happen very often. Probably a few will this year but not on the level of Morris, Richardson and Martin. Scouts are all over the place on RBs and QBs for this years draft class which probably means there arent very good ones. Theres no AP, Spiller, or Richardsons in this years draft. Vereen will be a backup come week one.
You can't look at past history. You have to look at recent history. Rookie RB's are going to continue to make an imoact their first year. They are just not being highly sought after because the NFL has moved to a passing league with spread formations and 2 TE sets (You can thank Belichick and the Patriots for that).
I'm very familiar with the RB class coming out this year. There are at least 6 very talented backs in the draft that could make an impact this year depending on where they go and injuries. 2-3 are going to be starters come day one.
Packers
Steelers
Jets
Broncos
Bengals
All these teams are not happy with their RB situation. I can't wait for the draft to see how they address that position

I started my draft w/ AJ Green and Demarius Thomas. My backs are D. Murray, Andre Brown, Vereen, Jonathon Franklin, 3 other lower tier rookie backs, Leon Washington, and Montell Owens. Not sure how it's going to work out, I definitely need to hit on a couple of those backs....
Vereen is one Ridley fumble away from being a stud. At the very least he will get most of the passing down work and handful of carries per game. Vereen was considered one of the best if not best RB in the passing game coming out of the draft in 2011

i'm not either. i didn't plan on starting Green+Thomas. i just didn't like my rb options when i picked in both spots. (I passed on Ray Rice for Green btw.)got heeem wrote:In these dc drafts i'm not a big backer of the wr/wr start .

i gotta say it again, these DC leagues are way less interesting to me w/ 12 teams...
Re: NFFC Early Season Draft Results
I really believe that you can hide the first 6 rounds of a draft and just look at the last 29 rounds and easily identify which teams are the best teams. It's hard to mess things up in the first 6 rounds or so. It's all about those picks staying relatively healthy. The draft really begins round 8 and one.

I couldnt agree more, 14 is just WAY, WAY better for DC's imo (for a playing standpoint, I know 12 will sell more teams and make them more money i'm sure)boutrous11 wrote:i gotta say it again, these DC leagues are way less interesting to me w/ 12 teams...
