SOLD OUT: Monday, Aug. 27, 8 pm ET $150 FAAB Auction
Re: 9 Spots Left: NFFC $150 FAAB Auction June 7 8 pm ET
Yes, we have $50 auctions all lined up to go. We will start offering these probably next week...just need the demand. We just want the one ($150) this Thursday, but after that we'll roll out all the prices based on demand.

This is very surprising that these leagues aren’t immediately a hit. It must be because many players don’t jump into drafts until July. If this doesn’t fill, feel free to jump into next week’s DC Auction. And if that doesn’t look like it will fill, I will jump into lower entry auctions once available. Maybe more new people will jump in at a lower entry level. In any case, I’m all in on the auctions this summer.

I haven't signed up because I"m not sure about the rules. they were kind of confusing online. Is it a typical 26 round DC or does it have a head to head component? Do we finish the last several rounds via a draft? I would love to do these depending on how they are set up.

Wayne, for the DC auctions you'll put 20 players together doing an auction format. So same rules as a regular auction there. Then the remaining players will be drafted via a "slow draft" format with 2 hours per pick. Draft Champions format during the season.
Hope that helps.

Wayne,
I participated in the last auction. It went very smooth with everyone using chrome or firefox. Then the slow draft for the remaining rounds was no different than any other dc slow, other than we all tried to make it move a touch faster. Jump in!
The only thing to make sure of is each team must have a full starting lineup on their roster before the 20 rounds of auction is done.

I"ll probably do one or two but I"m not a huge fan of the auction/draft combo.

Re: 9 Spots Left: NFFC $150 DC Auction June 14 8 pm ET
It's the only way to do a DC league with the auction format Wayne. The auction has 20 players with $200. That's how it's set up so we need to add the remaining players in some fashion. The draft accounts for the remaining players. This is how we've been doing it the past few years on RTSports for both baseball and football but now it's all on our site. The other option would be to make the auctions FAAB-only but that would reduce the interest level.
If we did an auction with 35 players it would render the player values worthless for anyone who wants to use these as prep for a live event auction (which we hope will be the case in football like it has been in baseball). So this way the auction prices have meaningful value and then we include the remaining players for a DC format for those who don't want to add another FAAB league to their list.

Tom,
I understand and there is nothing wrong with that. I just liked the 26 round auctions that we did years ago. For whatever reason the auction/draft combo just never clicked for me. It's nothing but a personal preference.
