Matt Shepherd Wins 2023 NFFC 14-Team Super Auction & $16,500

For the second straight year, Matt Shepherd of Napa, California has won the NFFC 14-Team Super Auction League title and the $16,500 prize. This is the second straight year that Matt's SUPERMORONS team got hot in the Championship Round and ran away with the title. Matt becomes the first repeat champion in the 12-year history of this tough contest.

Last year, Matt finished second in points during the regular season and then blitzed to the title in the Championship Round. This year, his team was fourth in points after the regular season before blitzing through the Championship Round. In fact, he made the Championship Round by only 9.60 points as he finished 162.80 points behind Chris Eibl. Chris won $5,000 during the regular season for best h2h record (10-4) and most points (2,013.90).

But Matt's SUPERMORONS team jumped into the lead right away by scoring 153.80 points in Week 15. He remained atop the standings after scoring 143.35 points in Week 16 and sealed the title in Week 17 with 180.80 points. He finished 59.28 points ahead of Craig Bordon with Chris Eibl finishing in third place. Craig won $6,000 for his runner-up finish, while Chris added $2,750 for his third place finish. Michael Zucca finished in fourth place to earn $500.

Matt's team was led in Week 17 by Davante Adams with 37.60 points, while Isiah Pacheco added 29.50 points and Brock Purdy added 23.90 points. In Week 16, Mike Evans was key with his 27.60 point week. Well done Matt and congrats on the repeat title.
