You, more than anyone else on the boards, has been playing the Jon Stewart role. Stewart takes shots at those he politically opposes and when challenged he is "just a comedian".

You take shots (sometimes unnecessarily personal) at 'Tebowites' and when challenged you return to the "all I ever said was that he is no NFFC QB1"

My ONLY point about you and the anti-Tebowites is that you are just as fanatical as those that you oppose.

In my dream world the Jets (whom I hate) win the Super Bowl with Tebow taking 25% of the snaps so that divide further grows between you guys.

Tebow fans are like any other fan base - with a gun to the head they'll admit what he is. The anti-Tebow camp delusionally believe that their opinions are based purely on logic and reason.

There will be division among the team, with any time split between Sanchez and Tebow. But it may be good for ratings!

[/QUOTE]Putting the circus and craziness aside, this makes the Jets a better team. I know everyone seems to disagree, but lets go in the other direction. Say the Jets didn't make this trade, and Sanchez gets off to a bad start, the Jets are 1-4... what happens? They stick with Sanchez. They have no other option. Drew Stanton... Really?.... Now, if this happens, we can bring Tebow in and he has proven he can win. Mark Sanchez is a below average QB. He has been successful due to his elite defense, which I dont believe they have anymore. The only thing I can criticize about this entire thing is, they shouldn't have given Sanchez an extension. Though it gave them a lot of salary cap relief. It made them committed to Sanchez longer than I think was deserving. I am a DIE HARD Jets fan, as you know. I have my problems with Rex Ryan and some of the decisions they have made. As a football and team decision, I am in full support. It is going to be a fun year. Put aside everything else, the Jets will be interesting to watch. I think their team is better, and I want to win... and Tebow knows how to win, with his flaws and all.. whether you like him or not.

Once again, you turn this into a personal battle, then call me out for making it personal. Unreal! Does the term "Tebow-lover" so offend you that you lash out like this? I sure don't have an issue with being referred to as a "Tebow-hater" (the player, not the man).

I simply made stated that I would never put my money where my mouth is by taking a bet on whether or not he'd be drafted as an NFFC QB1. Of course he might! The love is strong.

Then you launch a tirade about me taking shots then backing off like I was joking? Huh? I'm still here after all these months. I haven't backed off my opinion of his play. Why on earth do you take it so personally that many don't share your love? Once again, I attacked the player, so you attack me. This truly is like a religious following.

Try to stay on point here. I made no claims as to your motives or any other Tebow-lover's. But you somehow feel it right to call me out as being Jon Stewart, blah blah blah. You evidently can't separate your emotions about the messengers from the player in question. I can. If that makes me more logical, so be it. But I suggest you forego the psychobabble BS and stay focused on Tebow and not just keep killing the messenger. Geez!

Al, good luck with your Jets. I will probably catch a home game this year. If it's past week 3 or 4, I will probably see Tebow starting. Hey, maybe the Jets will sign Kordell Stewart as their #3?

Also, Joe Namath is a genius on tv or radio. Give him some good hooch and he almost becomes a modern day Yogi Bera.

as a season tix holder and have a son that bleeds green , i wish they never traded for tebow. tebow a qb ? if so then jaguars would have given up a mighty 4th round draft pick. every time sanchez throws an int or even misses an open reciever the knuckleheads in the stands will call his name. this will divide the jets locker room MORE. the bottom line is the old saying : if you have two qb's you have none. this brings me back to the richard todd days when matt robinson"s name would ring the stadium. you know how that went.

[/QUOTE]They are BOTH below average QBs...as in BOTH bottom 5 of NFL....I don't see how getting a lefty version of sanchez makes the team better?
