G.G. YOU CAN HAVE LANCE LONG. IF HE IS AS GOOD AS MARC BOERIGHTER OR SEAN LACHAPELLE OF YESTER YEAR FOR THE CHIEFS ALL WILL BE WELL.

FOR SOME REASON I DOUBT IT. :D :D

We went after Jacoby Jones instead. Long may continue catching balls, but unlikely at that pace. KC's schedule IS favorable down the stretch though.

But our reasoning was "We already like our current WRs (Moss, Boldin, Harvin, Garcon, James Jones, Camarillo) and are unlikely (barring injury) to ever start one that we're picking up this late in the season. Plus we already have some who can get us the emergency 8 points when needed. If we're starting a week 10 WW pickup, we want one w/ TD upside, not just a PPR 8-10 pointer". (And yes, that means we think Long is VERY unlikely to catch that many balls again.) But if your team really needs a reliable 10-point flex player each week because you don't have one already, then Long is a good pickup. In our situation, we'd rather have the long TD potential of a #3 on a high-powered offense than the #3 slot guy on the terrible team.

Good luck to those who acquired him though. Depending on your needs, he might be a very good fit.

I like Davone Bess as the best fantasy value on the waiver wire this week and picked him up in two leagues this week. The 14 targets is a great sign and Henne getting better each week.

But didn't his 14 targets result in something like 35 yards? I still like Camarillo better on that team, tho neither really will be that reliable on such a run-oriented team, IMO.

LANCE LONG

“He’s a great slot receiver,” Cassel said. “He’s got tremendous quickness, he gets in and out of his breaks well, he catches the ball, he’s a tough guy – he’s not afraid to lay in a block on a linebacker or a safety. He’s a great player and he’s been helping us, there’s no doubt about that.”

“You know, he’s got a similar mentality in that he’s a bulldog,” Cassel remarked with comparing Long’s attributes with Welker’s. “He just goes out there and he works hard. Like I said, he’s a guy that you really do want to see in the slot in terms of his quickness and how he goes about his business. There are definitely some resemblances between Welker and Lance.”

That may be true, but then, there AREN'T many other similarities between the Chiefs and the Pats, are there?
