Again, the goal of these NFFC '60s is to bring folks together in the NFFC draft room as many times as possible and practice, practice, practice, while having a few drinks during bowling night and commiserating with people you know. Fun and competitive at a low price, all here in the NFFC draft room.
Let me talk with STATS to see when we can get all of the draft pick player IDs in the system and then we'll be ready to roll. Thanks all and we'll plan for these a few different nights per week to see what the best times and dates are and then continue rolling with them until the NFL season begins. We still hope common sense prevails and a deal will be done. Let's do it.

Introducing NFFC '60s For 2011
These will be 30-round Draft Champions Leagues. Here are the proposed rules that we are tweaking now. Any feedback on this is welcome:
OFFICIAL CONSTITUTION OF THE
NATIONAL FANTASY FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
NFFC ‘60s DRAFT CHAMPIONS LEAGUES
1. Overview: The National Fantasy Football Championship NFFC ‘60s Draft Champions Leagues will consist of 14 teams, with each team compiling 30 NFL players through a serpentine draft, using 3RR (3rd Round Reversal). Teams will compete in a year-long competition for the highest number of points, accumulating points from Week 1 through Week 16 from its highest scoring players from the 10 required positions. No weekly lineups are needed as the computer will pick the optimal scoring lineup for each team after games are completed. The team with the highest point total in each league after Week 16 will be determined the league champion. Top 3 teams will earn cash payouts.
2. Draft: All NFFC ‘60s Draft Champions Leagues will be held online at nffc.stats.com. The order of each Draft Champions league will be chosen randomly by STATS LLC and announced once leagues are full. All Draft Champions Leagues will use KDS for your draft preferences and the 3RR format. Leagues will be formed on a first-come, first-served basis for the available dates. The draft will go in order from Team #1 through Team #14 in the first round and then come back in reverse order in round two (Team #14 through Team #1). The third round will go back down to team #14 to start and then continue in serpentine fashion from that point on through the remaining rounds until every team has compiled 30 players. Each owner will have 60 seconds per pick.
3. Prize Breakdown:
$60 League Prizes:
First Place = $480
Second Place = $120
Third Place = $75
4. No Trading: Trading is not allowed during the NFFC season and owners are not allowed to trade draft picks.
5. Roster Requirements: Maximum of 30 players at all times.
6. Starting Lineup Requirements:
Starting lineups will consist of:
1 Quarterback
2 Running Backs
3 Wide Receivers
1 Tight End
1 Flex Player (RB, WR or TE)
1 Kicker
1 Team Defense/Specials Team
7. Scoring: Players can accumulate points in a number of ways:
PASSING:
.05 points for every yard passing (works out to 1 point every 20 yards).
6 points for every passing touchdown
2 points for every 2-Point conversion
minus 1 point for every interception and fumble
RUSHING:
.10 points for every yard rushing (works out to 1 point every 10 yards).
6 points for every rushing TD
2 points for every 2-Point conversion
minus 1 point for every lost fumble
6 points for a recovered offensive fumble for a touchdown (RB, QB, WR, TE)
RECEIVING:
.10 points for every yard receiving (works out to 1 point every 10 yards).
6 points for every receiving TD
1 point for every reception for WRs, Tight Ends and QBs
0.5 points for every reception for RBs
2 points for every 2-Point conversion
minus 1 point for every lost fumble
KICKING:
** 1 point for every extra point
** 3 points for every field goal from 1-30 yards
** 3 points for every field goal plus .10 points for every yard after 30 yards (i.e. a 47-yard field goal would be worth 4.7 points)
DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS:
** 1 point for every sack
** 2 points for every interception or opponents' fumble recovery
** 6 points for every touchdown (interception return, defensive fumble return, punt or kickoff return, blocked field goal return, blocked punt return). All special teams and defensive points are awarded to the team responsible, not the individual player.
** 2 points for every safety
** 12 points for a shutout by the entire team
** 8 points for allowing 2-7 points by the entire team
** 4 points for allowing 8-12 points by the entire team
** 2 points for allowing 13-17 points by the entire team
** In the event of a "double turnover" when a team's offense turns the ball over and on the same play forces a turnover and scores a touchdown, the offensive player who scored the touchdown will receive six points. The player will not receive any other fantasy points for the play. The Team Defense/Special teams will receive points for the fumble recovery, but not for the touchdown.
8. Free Agent Acquisitions: There are no in-season free agent pickups in the NFFC ‘60s Draft Champions League. What you draft is what you get.
9. The Draft: The NFFC ‘60s Draft Champions drafts will be held online at nffc.stats.com. Draft orders will be randomly selected for each league and KDS will then be used to formulate the final draft order. The draft will be held in a serpentine fashion for each round using 3RR (1-14 in Round 1, 14-1 in Round 2, 14-1 in Round 3, 1-14 in Round 4 and continuing from there in serpentine fashion). Owners will have 60 seconds to make their pick.
A. League Management Web Address: STATS LLC will manage the NFFC and provide real-time stats online. You can access your league via the Internet by going to http://nffc.stats.com.
B. Scoring: There will be no lineup submission for the Draft Champions leagues. The computer will give each team an optimal fantasy point total each week from their top-scoring QB, 2RBs, 3 WRs, TE, K, D/ST and Flex Player. Teams will accumulate these optimal point totals each week for 16 weeks. Scores in the NFFC are finalized with no changes possible after 6 p.m. EST each Thursday after the weekend games.
10. League Structure: Each league will consist of 14 teams competing in a total points format over 16 weeks of the NFL. The teams with the top three point totals in each league will be awarded prize money at the end of the season.
11. Draft Rules:
a. Time Limit: Each participant will have a 60-second time limit for each pick. If the participant does not make a pick in 60 seconds, the computer will automatically make that pick.
b. Trading: There is no trading allowed during the Draft Champions season.
c. Making Picks: If a participant does not make a selection in the allotted time, the computer will select for that owner using STATS LLC’s overall ranking system. If there is a computer failure, an error made with a selection by an owner or any other type of technical malfunction, the draft moderator can stop the draft at any time and correct the error and then resume the draft. We will allow the draft moderator to roll back the draft if a technical error occurred, but if the desired player had already been selected before the draft was stopped that player is no longer available to be drafted. All decisions will be made by the NFFC moderator during the draft and will be final.
12. NFFC Guarantee: Once a participant submits valid payment, no money will be refunded to participants unless the National Fantasy Football Championship is canceled. A team spot is considered filled when the entire entry fee is paid. STATS LLC reserves the right to cancel any entries not comprising a full 14-team league. When a participant agrees to finish the registration form and submit payment, that participant has demonstrated his/her acceptance of the official rules and regulations for the NFFC ‘60s Draft Champions League.
13. Eligibility
Principal owners must be 21 years of age or older to compete in the NFFC ‘60s Draft Champions Leagues.
14. KDS: The NFFC will randomly select the draft orders of each league once a league is full. All NFFC ‘60s Draft Champions Leagues will implement the Kentucky Derby Style (KDS) process to allow owners more draft preference. The KDS process allows owners to rank their order of preference for Draft Day, ranking their preferences 1 through 14 BEFORE the leagues are selected. If an owner wants the third pick and is selected No. 1 overall in his league, he would choose that option and he would then be moved to third in that league on Draft Day. NFFC officials will look at every owner's Draft Preferences after the leagues and orders are randomly selected and then announce the draft orders for each league. Once each NFFC owner has officially signed up for the contest, they can find this feature in their game site under My Settings. Then click on Draft Preferences and you'll see the Draft Order ranked 1 through 14 and the option to change those preferences next to them. If you decide not to rank your preferences, your preferred order will remain 1 through 14. Owners can change their Draft Preferences right up until the announced deadline is set. An example of a KDS preference would be: 1, 2, 3, 14, 13, 7, 8, 9, 4, 5, 6, 12, 11, 10. If you were picked fourth out of the hat for your league and the top three teams took 1, 2, and 3, then you'd be slotted in the 14th spot (your fourth preference) on Draft Day.
15. Prize Winnings
The top three finishers in each league will receive prizes. If there is a tie for any of the winning spots, prize money will be split among the tied finishers.
If the principal team owner's prize winnings are $600.00 or greater, the National Fantasy Football Championship must file a Form 1099 with the IRS at the end of this calendar year. We will request your social security number and signature on this form. The form contains the amount paid to you and you will receive a copy of the form for tax purposes. STATS LLC pays ONLY the principal team owner of each NFFC team that was submitted on the entry form and you are responsible for paying any taxes that result from your cash prize; please consult your income tax advisor for filing advice. After 12 months, any unclaimed prize will be forfeited.
