I think the fact that Brandon Marshall is #20 at the WR position sums up what a strange year it was outside of any injuries.
Anyone that owned Marshall can tell you for the most part he was useless until the very end in FF for the year.
Great job again and thanks.

I can tell you that none of the 70 NFFC Classic Championship Round teams had Randy Moss on their rosters. Thus, none of the 22 teams that drafted Moss came in 1st, 2nd or 3rd place. Pretty bad, but not at all surprising.
Wayne and Rob did the data for the Primetime and Online Championships, respectively. They might be able to provide Randy Moss information for those contests.
Many thanks for sharing this info!

What are you using when you say "Actual" in you projection? Total points per player by position? Just curious...

Many thanks for sharing this info! [/QUOTE]Randy Moss was not on a single Primetime team that made the championship round. I guess the problem isn't just that you draft him because you can get around injuries to first round picks - the problem is that you continue to start him.

Yes Bill, total points. If you click on a position tab at the bottom left, you can see the stats and NFFC points. I considered using Average Points so that it would show the true value of guys like Vick and Collie, who didn't play all 16 games but still helped their NFFC teams a lot. But then it would also push up players who had a high average but without a lot if games.

Thanks Mike..it's interesting to look at it both ways, of course, and just clarify in your mind why a player only played a certain number of games.

The other reason I can't really get accurate averages is because Sportsline stats don't include Games Played. Plus sometimes players miss the bulk of games that they start.
But I agree that using Total Points masks the contributions of players like Collie, Orton, etc. who were huge helps when they played.

WayneThat certainly could be the case Wayne. But even if anyone DID sit him early in the season, their team probably still took a sizable hit, unless they got lucky on the wire. Think about it: we probably hope our top 3 drafted WRs average around 18, 15 and 12 PPG. Without that top 18-pt scorer, we're forced to start our WR4, who at draft time, probably looks like about 9 PPG. So if you lose your round 1 WR, you're now down from 45 PPG to about 36. That 9 PPG is around 150 over 16 weeks. That's an awful lot of points to spot such good fantasy players!

Wayne and Rob did the data for the Primetime and Online Championships, respectively. They might be able to provide Randy Moss information for those contests. I did the Online Championships and only one team had Randy Moss on his roster and he finished 123rd out of 125.
It was my friggin team that also had Reggie Wayne, TO and Braylon Edwards. Good thing I had Josh Morgan and Earl Bennet to carry me to the bottom.
