Who's Coming To The 2006 NFFC And Where?

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Fri Jun 16, 2006 3:45 am

David Zwickel becomes our 100th signup for the NFFC's main event as he will once again join us at the New York Hilton on Saturday, Sept. 2nd. David and his brother, Gregg, have been original members of the NFFC and David has also competed in all of our NFBC events. These guys are back for the trifecta, also adding the Auction League and the Draft Champions League in New York. We now have 11 owners signed up for the New York Auction League and five for the New York Draft Champions League. Last year, Team Zwickel finished second in the New York Auction League, losing the Super Bowl game to RI Workhorse. Before that, Team Zwickel won $1,300 for having the best head-to-head record and most total points during the regular season. Congrats on a great season, guys. Team Zwickel also finished 6-7 in New York League 2 of the main event, placing 151st with 1,528.55 points and placed 10th in the Draft Champions League with 2,154.1 points. Welcome back guys and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize, the $5,000 league prize, the $4,250 Draft Champions League prize and the $4,000+ in Auction League prizes.

I know it really doesn't matter, but I would prefer a seat next to RC, so I can see the look on his face when I steal and jack up the price on all of his players! Greg / Billy ... this is a complement to Billy ... seriously it is. If Greg can get 14 more people interested in the Auction ... I would prefer to have a random league deturmination or even opt into the second group if greg is going .

I am not sure I would choose to be in a league with all the die hard players in the bigger money leagues. Just a different take. I am going to get my fill of that in some of the satellites. We will have plenty of time before and after the draft to talk smack ... and I know some off us will be in the same league if it is random anyway.

I know it might be more fun for the die hards to draft together ... but winning is fun too and 4 grand is 4 grand. I want in a the league where someone picks Culpepper in the one hole. :D

We're glad to welcome another new member to the growing NFFC family as Charles Campalong of Sewickzy, Pennsylvania has signed up for the $650 Draft Champions League at the New York Hilton on Friday, Sept. 1st. Charles was reading Fantasy Sports Magazine today and liked the format for that league and signed up with me on the phone, becoming our sixth owner in the Big Apple for that one. Welcome aboard, Charles, and best of luck in the hunt for the $4,250 first place prize.

We're glad to welcome back another returning member from 2005 to our 2006 main event as Ronald Chan of San Francisco, California will be returning to the Stardust Resort & Casino on Saturday, Sept. 2nd. Ron had a shot at the $100,000 grand prize last year as his Fall Guys team won $2,500 in Las Vegas League 1 last year by placing second with an 11-2 record and 1,747.5 points and then finished ninth in the Championship Round with 540.18 points. Great run, Ron, and best of luck this year in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize. Ron also led his Fall Guys team to a fifth place finish in the Las Vegas Draft Champions League 2 with 2,344.45 points, just missing out on a money finish. He is interested in that format again and just reminded me to update the $1,250 Draft Champions League prize link, which I just did under the Prizes Link. Check it out now.

We now have three full leagues for the main event in Las Vegas and 101 official signups overall. Thanks everyone.

Good luck guys in the quest for the $5,000 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize and welcome back.

Las Vegas resident Scott Stage is back for more in the NFFC in 2006. Not only is Scott taking part in the Main Event but he's jumping into the $650 Auction League as well. After a 5-8 finish in Las Vegas League 2 last year Scott is aiming for bigger and better things this year. Welcome back Scott and good luck in your hunt for your league prizes in both events and the $100,000 grand prize.

Perry Van Hook has added two more events to his NFFC schedule for this year as he'll dive into the $650 Draft Champions event in the morning on Friday and then the $650 Auction in the afternoon. It'll be a full but fun day Perry so welcome aboard and good luck as you take aim at the league titles in both events this year.
