OK -- slight modification of earlier threads -- I have #11 pick in 12-team draft. League scoring is similar to NFCC, but gives receivers a full point for receptions. So I have picks 11, 14, 35 and 38. I've always been a huge believer in pick 2 RBs in first two rounds.

What is better: Harrison, Holt, Tiki, Thomas Jones

or,

Fred Taylor, Marshall Faulk, Darrell Jackson and Coles.

not necessarily talking about the exact players, thinking more about bucking the conventional wisdon to get two absolute stud WRs in a 1pt per reception league.

I'm always a big believer in the RB-RB approach. But at the tailend of a 1 point/reception league with 14 teams, grabbing a stud WR like Harrison early is tempting. However, my feeling typically is that I want to get my RBs because I feel confident I can find good WRs in the middle rounds -- maybe not a stud, but a good group.

So going with that theory, I'd take the Taylor, Faulk, Jackson, Coles group without hesitation.

Tom, are the player rankings that we get through the site according to NFFC scoring?

The rankings come from our overall Fantasy Sports Magazine rankings. They aren't tailored specifically for NFFC scoring; they're more for general use.

Tom,

Im in a 12 team league that starts 1 QB , 2 RB , 2 WR, and 2 Util (the 2 util spots can be any position including QB) similiar scoring to NFFC giving QB's 6 point passing TD. I have the 11th pick and given that I can start up to 3 QB's do you think grabbing Culpepper and Manning with my first 2 picks would be a good thing to do and just lock down the QB position? Thanks.

You can start 3 QBs? Wow. Yes I would absolutely say that in a league like that grabbing a QB early is a nice way to go - especially one of the two legitimate studs Culepper or Manning.

Tom,
Who do you feel are the top 5 O-Lines for this season ? and the worst 5 ? All the mags write about the skill positions but nothing works without blocking. Do you know of any site that keeps a close eye on this all important unit ?
