Anyone Going To The NFL Draft In New York?

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Mon Apr 24, 2006 4:40 am

We must have some of you rabid J-E-T-S fans going to the Radio City Music Hall on Saturday for the NFL draft, right? :D I'm attending some meetings in New York on Friday and get the chance to check out the draft on Saturday for the first time. Let me know if any of you NFFC die-hards are going to be there and we'll have some fun. I'll be wearing the No. 4 Favre jersey and trying like hell to get on ESPN when the Packers pick fifth overall. If they take a QB, I'll run up to the podium and strangle Tagliabue. :D Come join me if you're in town.

Marc Will do, Marc. I have meetings all day Friday with MLB and NFLPA, but Saturday is the NFL draft and drinking afterwards. Maybe we can hook up. I'll contact you via e-mail.

The Rodgers jersey doesn't even sell in Green Bay! :D

10. QB Jay Cutler Cardinals I hope you're right. Williams to the Packers would be sweet, but I think the Saints will take him. I like your prediction better for then, as that would force the Titans to take Young or Cutler.

I predict the Packers trade down. I hope not, but I wouldn't be surprised if they do. My prediction:

1. RB Reggie Bush Texans
2. DE Mario Williams Saints
3. QB Matt Leinart Titans
4. OT D. Ferguson Jets
5. OLB A.J. Hawk Packers (if they don't trade down)
6. TE Vernon Davis 49ers
7. QB Vince Young Raiders
8. OT Winston Justice Bills
9. S Michael Huff Lions
10. QB Jay Cutler Cardinals

Here's the Top 10:

1)Houston - Reggie Bush
2) New Orleans - Mario Williams
3) Tennessee - Matt Leinart
4) New York Jets - D'Brick Ferguson
5) Green Bay - AJ Hawk
6) S.F. - Vernon Davis
7) Oakland - Vince Young
8) Buffalo - Bunkley
9) Detroit - Michael Huff
10) Arizona - Ngata
(Denny loves Navare, current #2 QB & won't draft another QB @ #10 unless Leinart or Young falls...and that won't happen. He will, however, take Clemens or another QB later in the draft, after Rd. #2.)

Greg: Nancy & I planned on going to NY for the draft but could not swing it. It was my B-day present back in Sept...too much stuff going on to make it out that way from AZ...call us crazy Card fans...just trying to get the "edge" on the competition, as the excitement builds for our new stadium, home of the 2008 Superbowl!!!!

Take care!

Billy - Even worked a trade into your selections. Logical too. Flip your 3 & 7 and I'm with you through #8 (6 & 8 are a bit of wild cards too but they'll go in top 10). After #8 it's a crap shoot. I am SOOOOOO glad a visionary like you can be called a Chicago Brother!

I'll be at Soldier Field for the Bears draft party - and I'm a Broncos fan - figure that. My first "Draft Day" party - I just don't know what to wear (Elway jersey just does not seem right!)

OK, I know we shouldn't get personal and drag our personal lives too much into the message board ... but ... Darryl ... you need to date someone for sex, money or love like everyone else ... and not because she can get you into all of these high profile sporting events. Sure she's a gorgeous hot babe who's super sweet and very nice and she has a great sense of humor ... but who are we kidding ... I know YOU ... and YOU are attracted to her access to all those high profile sporting events in Chicago! Way to date UP!
